"Do I look okay?" Shawn asked for the hundredth time that evening.

Shawn finally had the guts to ask Lauren out. You absolutely loved him but you wanted Shawn to be happy and didn't let your feelings get in their way.

"You look perfect Shawn" You said passing him a genuine smile.

"Thanks Y/N" He said hugging you.

"But I don't really think I'm ready... I mean every time I look into her beautiful eyes I'm left dumbfounded... she's going to think that I'm a creep" He added.

"Oh Shawn don't be silly! She's not going to feel that way.... It's actually kinda romantic" You said.

"Okay...If you say so..." He trailed off.

"I believe so" You said.

"Hey! Why don't you go on a play date with me?" He said.

"What are you trying to say Shawn? Your actual date is in about half an hour's time" You replied.

"Oh don't worry about that! It won't take long. Can't you do this much to help your best friend?" He said.

"Yah... best friend..." You mumbled.

"What??" Shawn said.

"Never mind... I'll help in preparing you for this date" You said.

"Thank you" He said smiling.

"So... As the movie starts you wrap an arm around her and ask her if she's cold" You said.

"Are you cold?" Shawn asked wrapping an arm around you.

"I'm fine thank you" You said.

"Then, after a while, you keep staring at her... she'll eventually ask you if anything is bothering you. And when she does, simply tell her that she's beautiful" You told him.

"You're beautiful" Shawn said.

"Thank you Shawn" You said giggling a bit.

"And throughout the movie make sure nothings bothering her. Girls like guys who are caring" You said.

"Is anything bothering you?" he asked politely.

"No I'm all good Shawn" You said.

"And lastly, when you drop her home, you ask her if she enjoyed and then probably even kiss her if the time is right" You said.

"Did you enjoy your time with me?" Shawn asks.

"Oh I loved the time I had with you" You said staring right in his eyes.

"Good. I'm glad you did" Shawn said staring back.

Just then Shawn started leaning in....

"You don't have to try doing everything that I said, Shawn" You said.

Just then Nash interrupted your little 'moment'.

"Shawn, Lauren's here. I'm sure you don't want to keep her waiting" Nash said.

"Yah... thank you Y/N" He said as he walked out the door.

"You're always welcome" You said.

Shawn's P.O.V.

I rushed downstairs to find Laur dressed in a beautiful black dress.

"Wow, you really look good" I said.

"Thanks Shawn, you don't look bad yourself" she complimented back.

"So let's leave?" I asked her. She simply nodded
