After 5 amazing years with Jenni, I think it's time.
Time for me to finally propose to the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.
Dressing Ivory in a pink little dress, she was smiling away when I smiled back at her, "Do you know what daddy is going to do today?" I asked Ivory and she shook her head.
"I am going to propose to mommy," I said as I arranged her little white shoes.
"Daddy, what does 'propose' mean?" She asked me while sucking on her thumb.
Finishing up with putting her shoes on, I rubbed Ivory's head and smiled, "It means asking her so she can be with me for the rest of our life. With a simple little ring. The ring will show the love I have for her," I told her and she cheered happily.
"Is that why there is the big red carpet downstairs?" She excitedly asked me.
It's true. There is a red carpet downstairs with rose petals thrown over it. I did it this time as a memory for when we got back together on Valentine's day. 5 years ago.
God it feels like it was just a week ago.
"Yes sweetheart," I said as I stood up and lifted her up in my arms and stared at us in the mirror.
Me in a tux. Her in a cute pink dress my mom bought. Everything is so perfect right now.

Parking Ethan's car in the driveway, I took my keys out from my handbag and walked up the front door steps and unlocked the door.
Walking over to the lift, I pressed 3 and waited for it to take me up straight to our apartment.
The lift doors opened and my heart stopped.
There was Ethan down on one knee with Ivory sat down on one of his knees, his arm wrapped tightly around her and in his other hand was a black box with a shiny ring.
Walking out from the lift before it would close I dropped my shopping bags and walked towards my family while crying.
"Ethan," I said between happy sobs and wiped my eyes when Ivory jumped off from Ethan's bad leg and wrapped her arms around my leg.
"Hey sweety," I said while ruffling her long blonde hair.
"Jenni.. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You bring sunshine to me on my cloudy days. You always manage to make me smile when I want to just cry. You have made my life perfect ever since Ivory was born. We have a messy past, but we've gone through that. Now for you to really make me the happiest man in the world, will you marry me?" He asked and I cried again.
"Oh my god Ethan.. Yes! Yes I will marry you!" I said excitedly and took out my left hand and watched him put on the heart shaped engagement ring on.
It's so beautiful..
Smiling away, I lowered down onto my knees and hugged Ethan tightly. Moving my head, I stared at Ethan and kissed him forcefully on his lips when Ivory coughed.
"Can I get a hug aswell?" She asked and I stopped kissing Ethans lips and grabbed her. Me and Ethan sucked the life out of her.
At the same time, we both kissed her head and giggled.
Everything is perfect.
