Chapter 5: Undercover cop

When I woke up I feel restless, and I just want to scream. For some odd reason, I feel happy. It's probably the feeling that Noah actually notices me. Or it's a few days I get to see Carly again, but whatever it is I'm so happy. I head to the washroom and put a chemical in my hair to make my hair go straight. Having black hair is a hassle sometimes that's why I put my hair in a bun majority of the time, or just put chemicals in it and then put it in a bun. I get another the text from Noah I was exciting to see it and it read: Hey Lavender, what's up? I can't wait to see you at school today. For some odd reason, I think Noah is a catfish, I'll just talk to him at school and ask him if he's texting me. I head out of the washroom and pack my bag and get my iPad and head out of the door.

I walk to school alone like a loner because Carly is M.I.A. When I reach school, I see Bella waving at me and I smile at her and run towards her. When I finally reach her I hug her and I say "Why didn't you text me last night?
"Sorry Lav, I had relatives over last night. You know, Wednesday is our family reunion." She says
"Okay." I say and look at Noah talking to his friends. "Give me a sec Bell." I say and run to Noah and he looks at me like I'm crazy. Fair enough, the last time we spoke in person I accidentally called him cute.
"Hey Noah, can I talk to you for a minute?" I say nonchalantly his friends leave and whispering stuff. He turned towards to me and says "Yes?"
"How do you have my iMessage?"
"I don't have your iMessage. Why?"
"How are you texting me?" I'm getting really scared now. Derek told me he found my number online so maybe people can find my email online too.
"Someone's texting me under your number."
"Oh. Well I can guarantee you it's not me. If you don't trust me, here I'll show you mine." He pulls out his iPhone and show his contact list. He showed his iMessage too, so he's not texting me.
"Sorry, it's not me. So seems like you have a catfish on your hands. If there's anything I can do to help you find the catfish please tell me. Can you show me the texts the catfish sent you?" I take out my iPad and show him.
"Bella likes me?" He exclaims, oh shit I forgot that was there.
"Um, no. Maybe the catfish just made that up."
"So why are you acknowledging it?"
"I wasn't I believed it was you texting me."
"Lavender." He says looking straight into my eyes and I swear I can get lost in them all day. "You are a terrible liar."
Man, Bella's going to get mad at me because I practically told him she likes him. Even if I totally forgot that the catfish said that. I nod at him and just sigh.
"If you know anything please tell me." I say really defeated.
"Of course, your safety is important to me." He says. I felt like he really meant it, but I know he's just being nice. I head back to Bella and I see her taking selfies and I'm assuming she's putting it on Instagram. I breathed in and say "Bella, I have to tell you something."
"Sure, what is up?"
"Noah knows you like him."
"What? How?" She almost screamed.
"When I was talking to Noah-"
"You told Noah I liked him? What the hell Lavender." She said betrayed
"Bella hear me out. I thought Noah was texting me but ended up being a catfish, the catfish found out you liked Noah. So I forgot the catfish said that and I showed Noah the texts."
"Why did you show him the texting?"
"He asked." Bella started crying and said
"what kind of friend are you? I trusted you but honestly I shouldn't have." Bella ran off and I immediately felt guilty about it. But always there's Derek to help out. "Hey Derek, what's up?"
"Nothing proud of me for not saying the sky?" He says cocky
"Ha, your funny. Yes I am. Bella's mad at me like I predicted"
"Oh, don't worry whatever she said she probably doesn't mean it. You'll be okay. Just say sorry unless your really confident she's the one to apologize."
"Thanks Derek, and to add to yesterday; I know one day you're going to please a girl in the future. Your really understanding." He really is, and the sweetest person I ever met.

Once I get home I text Bella saying I'm sorry. She didn't respond but I was hoping what Derek said was true. On the other side, I need to find out who this catfish is and why they're messing with me. I have no energy now but I will find out who that catfish is.

I wanted make up for a shitty chapter and publishing late last time. So here I am, I love writing it's my life like I said in my profile. I hope you liked this chapter because I really enjoyed writing it, originally Noah was texting Lavender but I said in my description that she meets life. And catfishes are a big problem with our community. I chose Lavender because I remembered watching Matilda and her friend's name was Lavender. It was really pretty cool name. And I'm so naming my baby girl Lavender. If you think of it, some table of elements are good names for kids and really original. Can you think of one? Because all I can think of is Titanium and that's not really good name. Thanks again for reading I'll see you in the next chapter.
