Chapter 7: The most suicidal crush ever

It's finally Friday, and today's going to be different. I was going to talk to Bella about everything, and I have a test today that I don't want to talk about today. I bet this day is going to be real interesting. I headed outside and walked to school like normal and then I saw Derek there and I went up to him "Hey, I'm going to clear the air with Bella. She should appreciate my attempt even if she doesn't forgive me."
"Wait you are? But you didn't do anything." He said concerned
"I know, but Bella's really stubborn and I want to be her friend again. I hate holding grutches."
"Okay, I guess you're a good friend."
"What do you mean guess?"
"Bella should be the one apologizing, not you."
"Whatever Derek." As much as I hate to admit it, Derek's right. But she's not going to care anytime soon. Which makes me think, is Bella really a good friend? I bumped into someone and got me out of the daze, and I saw it was Noah. "Hey, Lavender." He said and then suddenly pulls me to the side. "Okay I need to tell you about her now."
"Sure, who is she?" I felt a knife gliding through me with guilt and jealousy. I mean I see where the jealousy comes from but where does the guilt come from? Right, Bella.
"So, her name's Heather. You probably know her, right" he said really nervous. No, not Heather Milton. That bitch who literally owns this school. She's rude and mean to everyone in the school who aren't her friends. Plus, she dates everyone to just be more popular. I was in her class last year, trust me she made it a living hell. No, Noah can't like her. He doesn't understand how evil she is. "Yes I know her."
"Okay, so right now she thinks I'm a total slut right now. Can you please talk to her?"
"Okay, I don't want to sound rude at all, but I'm not going to be Cady. Heather and I aren't friends and never will be. She's a total bitch Noah why do you even like her?"
"Good question. I just like it when girls acts confident." Bingo, you see maybe there is a positive to being friends with your crush. With this information, I can probably win over Bella. Even though he said not to tell anyone.
"Cool. Good to know."
"Please Lavender, please try."
"Okay, but don't get shocked when she rejects me."
"Cool."

At lunch I saw Heather walking with her entourage. So I walked up and said "Heather, can I talk to you?"
"Black girl, I don't want to see you."
"Lavender." I snapped "it's important. Its about your secret admirer."
"Okay who is it?"
"Um,he thinks you think he's a slut."
"My admirer is Noah, isn't it?" She turns around and started whispering to her friends. "Black girl sit with us."
"I'm not sitting so you unless you say my real name." I snapped
"Okay, sit with your loser friends then, well, if you even have any friends." Heather laughs and walks away to the normal table. I head towards Bella's table and I say "Bella, I'm sorry." She looks up at me with defeat in her eyes and says "No, Lavender I'm sorry. You didn't really do anything wrong." She says
"Thanks Bella." We hugged it out like we do normally when we get in a fight. Everything is back to normal.

On the way home I saw Noah and decided to approach him. "Hey Noah, I spoke to Heather and she assumed you like her but I didn't confirm that you did."
"Okay, thanks Lavender you're really sweet."
"No problem, what are friends for?"

I'm at home and it's 9:00 p.m I was watching YouTube about people being popular, they all said the same thing. Date someone, be pretty but also be sporty at the same time. The main thing it said was confidence exactly like what Noah said of why he was interested in Heather. You know what, I'm going to try out a theory, I'm going to be all these things and see what my results are. But I have to be okay with people hating me for the things I do. Which is what I deal with all the time anyway so it shouldn't be a big problem.

So, the things I said about being popular and all, is practically all true. Well, at least in my school, I find confidence is the key goal to popularity but not that I suggest to do those things. Please do not do these things if it isn't you, be yourself and you're never alone. You should never feel the need to be someone that your not.
