After school, that day Heather's words haunted me, and it was weird because I usually never listen to what people say about me. I saw Derek over at the picnic table across the school garden so I decided to approach him. "Hey Derek."
"Hi." He said sadly
"What's wrong?"
"Noah."
"What do you mean Noah?" I sat beside him and placed a hand on him.
"Noah's a selfish bastard who only cares about himself." He starts "this morning, I went to him and saw him with Heather, and he promised me that he'll talk to me about something after school, but he only did that because he wanted me to get jealous over Heather."
"Why would you get jealous over Heather?"
"Can you keep a secret?"
"Of course."
"I like her. He likes her and we called a truce between us and he just broke it this morning."
"Okay, you're freaking out over something, that might not even be true. Did you confront Noah?"
"No, maybe you're right. But he's done things in the past that breaks our neutral trust."
"Okay." I say "see you later then."
"Yeah bye." He says.

When I was almost home, I saw Noah and Heather together, so me being the noisiest person in the world, I went behind the tree and started eavesdropping on their conversation.
"So, Heather want to go out some time?" Started Noah, I almost threw up when I heard that, he really likes her huh? But why her, over me? Heather's rude and inconsiderate all the time, I think she's using him, not sure why but I think it's true. Me on the other hand I'm nice and caring, don't guys go after nice girls than girls who are pushy and 'confident?' No it's not even confidence it's plain cockiness. Big difference between cockiness and confidence.
"Sure, are you asking me to be your girlfriend or are you asking me on a date?" Asked Heather
"Date."
"Settled, then let's get on with it. Can you pick me up Friday at 8:30?"
"Sure, let's do it." Noah said and sounded serious "okay, so there's this guy named Derek at our school, and he likes you too. He said that once he's yours he'll do the nicest things for you. And when I mean nice, I mean weird and stupid. Like watching chick flicks and watch the bright sun and nonsense like that."
"Ugh, that sounds boring. I'd always be with you no matter what." That made me want to throw up even more, Derek was right about Noah, he's a selfish bastard. I like a selfish bastard.
"So, I sat down with this girl at lunch today and she was so stupid." Started Heather "her name's Lavender and she's all that. She wants to be popular and she's so jealous of me. Like, God get a life she's like Cynthia times ten thousand."
I didn't hear anything after that but about a minute later I heard Heather say "she likes you." How the hell does she know that? Wait, calm down Lavender, Heather has been trying to put a bad reputation on me for the whole conversation. Not sure if Noah believes the crap she saying but it is true.
"She does?" Sounded like Noah.
"Yeah, she's just ugh."
"Interesting. Her best friend Bella likes me too, and she is a hypocrite." Oh, man. It's so true, on the other hand I think I stopped liking Noah after that conversation. Now, I have to tell Bella what he said and everything. But maybe she might get mad at me and we'll be in a fight again but it's worth a shot because if I don't tell her she'll get mad at me. I started walking away in tears, Noah was so nice and considerate, actually he deserves Heather, they're both assholes.
"Lavender!" Yelled someone, I know that it was a boy calling me, I turned around and saw Noah running after me. Nothing to do with him, I started shunning him.
"Lavender I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I just said." He pleaded
"Don't talk to me." I say with my voice breaking
"Lavender, I'm so sorry. Please look at me." I finally turn around to face him and he has the most sorry face ever.
"When you said that you wanted to know what Heather thinks of you, you only said that because you wanted to ask her out, am I correct?"
"Yeah..... Oh, I'm sorry I never knew that you liked me."
"Whatever, so you turned on Bella, Derek, and I just for Heather? That dumb ass bitch who doesn't care about anyone but herself."
"But, okay." He said and then took a deep breath and said "I was new, the first day of school I felt like I was sucked up to a black hole. No one understood who I was or what I was going through. They all assumed that I was this rich white kid who'd always look down on everyone. It was nice once in a while to know girls would like me but at the same time, it doesn't mean anything at the end of the day. It just means that girls are attracted to you because of whatever."
"If you don't want girls attracted to you like that, why the hell did you ask out Heather?"
"I thought that if I did, then people would view me differently."
"Yeah, they would. Then when you break up with her, girls would be around you more than before."
"I didn't think of that."
"Look Noah, I understand that you're new here so let me clear something for you because you seem to be awfully confused. At this school, there are a billion of different groups, and sororities and the scary part is, it's not a high school; it's middle school. So, in those billions of groups there are three sides; the popular side, the wealthy side and the loser side. The popular side is for people like Heather, she used to be on the loser side now she's the throne of the popular side. She took advantage of her own best friend and threw her in the garbage just for popularity. And that's exactly what you're doing right now. Yes, you are on the loser side right now, yes, you have an advantage to get popular in no time, you have Heather. So now, that I explained it to you, you obviously have a choice to make, throw away your real friends for fake ones or keep your real friends." After that whole speech I just walked away. I am officially done for, with Noah. I mean I hope I made it obvious for him to choose the right thin and I do hope he does, but I have nothing to do with him from this day forward.

Once I got home I head straight to sleep because I was so tired, and can't wait till the next day.

Last part of The unworded I'm sorry it took so long just to get through one day. Good news is that Carly will come in around chapter 10 to 12 no promises. Also apologies for making her appear in Chapter 2 or 3 and disappear till like 10-12. I'm not lazy to just to get her out of the story, it's just to build suspense. Thank-you for reading and see you next chapter.
