Hey guys, it's MerryMonster, bringing you your next prompt!
The main character is having a bad day- as in a horrendous bad day, the kind that lives on to embarrass you forever. Whether they lost the big game, flunked a test, messed up a solo, got in a fight with their best friend, tripped over a banana peel, made a contract with the devil- you name it, whatever fits best with the type of story you're writing.
At the end of the day, however, when the poor protagonist is feeling at their worst, a group of their friends/family/love interests (idk XD) bands together to cheer them up- whether it's by using comforting words, making them their favorite food, group huggles, or just a dose of the ol' tough love.
This kind of scene is guaranteed to get a reaction out of readers (whether it's laughter or tears) and not out of cheap shock value, but out of real emotion and depth in the relationship between characters.
