We all have had that moment when we've wondered what is at the end of a rainbow. For some, it was the first time they experienced the glorious colored-strip. For many others, it was when St. Patrick's day rolled around.
Plenty of people still don't understand why rainbows exist, but who cares when you can write about it?
Imagine what could be at the end of a rainbow. You can write about the cliche "Leprechaun protecting a pot of gold," expounding upon that with an adventure. You can always throw your own twist on it and have a fancy sports car, or food stand at the end.
Just for some creative ideas to help, maybe the storyline is wrapped around dreams and wishes, and whatever the person wants most is at the base of the rainbow. (Can easily be turned into a romance.)
If you like developing settings more than characters, there's always the option to have a building or location of some sort be at the end too. Perhaps an old grocery store that went out of business was there, and the characters must explore, or, taking a more cheery note, there could be a cute children's park. It's up to you (obviously)!
