Who's ready for a prompt?
At least one of your characters is high royalty. That can vary from a King, Queen, Princess, Prince, Knight, Lord, Baroness, etc. Completely your decision.
Your other character[s] is/are either of similar ranking, or on the complete opposite side of the spectrum.
For example, I could have a male character who is a young newly crowned king, and a girl pauper. Or I could have a popular princess and a baron from another land. Maybe even a servant boy and a female street thief. Depends on the type of story you plan on expounding upon.
Try starting out by describing your first character. Write about their ranking, and what that calls for them to do with their duties. (If they even have any). Then sprinkle the second character in, and develop whether the two actually know each other at all or not. Then you go from there.
This sort of idea can work well with both fanfiction and original fiction. If you're bored, you can always try different variants on this prompt and see what grows on you. You also don't need to have only two main characters as I wrote before; any number of characters with plentiful personalities should work fine.
