Prompt 7

TheCouch here again!

This week's prompt is about being locked up somewhere.

Your character{s} have just been locked inside (or outside) a building. This can be for their own safety or for the rest of the world's benefit.

Perhaps in your story, there is a zombie apocalypse and your characters decide to lock themselves inside an "abandoned" building. Maybe they were kidnapped and trapped inside a mysterious room they must escape. Maybe the main character has just been quarantined due to disease, or simply was stupid and broke a doorknob to the only door leading to freedom.

With this, there is also the opportunity to really develop your characters. For example, if you were wanting two of your characters to be mortal enemies, what better way to show that than to lock them in a room together?
Romantic interests can create or expand their relationships, and friends can slowly become enemies (and vice versa.)

It's also a great way to just keep pushing the storyline along if you are stuck. 

Whether they're trapped inside somewhere or locked out, everything is up to you. The reason behind why, who is where and how characters treat one another will vary from person to person.

Although this prompt is a great starter for original stories, it can also work with existing characters. Fanfiction AU's can utilize virtually any plotline. ;)
