Sven Lotto sat on his chair as if it were a throne. He was probably thinking how great he was. Beside Sven was Jamie Owen who sat with a notebook again. I sat in the middle of Harry Patrick Baxar and Loretta Mchonda. The song 'stuck in the middle of you' came to mind.

I could tell that the aura of the room was threatening. Everyone looked tense, like they were about to shoot the other person dead.

All that was on my mind was Nicole's birthday.

"I personally thank everyone for coming today as it seems a few matters need to be resolved." Sven said as his tone was dominating.

The seriousness in Sven's persona today was apparent.

"However firstly I would like to say that in light of everything that has happened with auditing of the centre, can we please try and resolve these matters after we leave this room today?" Sven waved his hands in a gesture of sympathy.

I assume he was trying to lighten up the mood and explain to everyone that he wants this to end here.

"No one here is in trouble of the events that took place. No one is getting fired" Jamie Owen said assuring everyone things will be fine.

It was obvious, the good ole good cop/bad cop routine was being played. Loretta and Harry grunted and were just about to say something as Sven spoke.

"Harry can you please leave the room for a few minutes." Harry seemed baffled at Sven's words but hastily nodded and left the room.

"Loretta, Jay claims you have been abusing him on pool deck" Jamie Owen said as Loretta put on a fake face.

"I have never done that" Loretta said as I cut in.

"You abuse me every shift, in front of customers you yell at me" I said with disgust.

"I don't yell at you Jay. I never have" Loretta said with sincere in her eyes.

Sven and Jamie looked at her, but she was lying. She was bloody  good at it too.

"I see you making fun of me over the radios whenever you work." I said trying my best to catch her out.

"Those conversations are Private Jay and I never make fun of you" Loretta said as she pleaded with Sven and Jamie.

"Look I am seriously sorry but I have never done that" Loretta continued.

What the hell was going on? This was a side I never saw of her. She looked as though she was a different person. She had no power here and was in the fear of losing that. The extent she was going to save face in the eyes of her superiors was exaggerating.
