The rest of my shift went extremely fast. Probably due to the fact I was worrying to much about meeting Sven. I had changed my clothes and walked up to Sven's Office which was one floor up above the pool area. I knocked on the door.
"Come in" said a voice as I opened the door.
The room was big. It had an office window that looked down over the pool area. A large desk sat in the middle of the office. Sitting down next to Sven was Jamie Owen. I smiled not knowing what to expect.
"Have a seat Levi" Sven said as he got out a blank piece of paper.
Sven gave the piece of paper to Jamie and then sat up straight in his seat. I took the seat closer to Jamie and felt like I was stuck in the middle of these two managers. There was an awkward silence. A silence one would hear at a funeral that only ten people would attend. Sven looked at me and broke the silence.
"Levi, every so often we call in our lifeguards and see how they are going"
I looked at Sven and then at Jamie and then spoke "Ahh cool, what did you want to know? A few customers have pointed out some recommendations to fix in the centre. Like we really need another disabled change room. One is not enough-"I was quickly cut off by Sven who seemed to have ignored what I had just said.
"How do you think you're doing?"
"I think I am doing well. I come to work with a smile on my face every day and do my job" I replied.
What was Sven getting at? I felt the room's aura change. I then noticed the look on Sven's face and Jamie's. It was not a happy glare.
"Levi from recent feedback we have heard that you are not watching the pool." Sven said as a shockwave went through my body.
It's as if Sven's words attacked me and took off a devastating blow to my hit points. I was officially caught off guard. Pun not intended
"What?" I said shocked. I had been watching the pool, I mean that's all there is to lifeguarding. I had recently been in deep thought, but I have always watched the pool.
"Levi we have had complaints from numerous staff members that they feel unsafe working with you" Sven said as he took a big breath.
I was stunned. I mean I understand that Loretta Mchonda has said bad stuff behind my back but, numerous people complaining about me. I just started two weeks ago. I hadn't been here all the long to have so many enemies.
"Who said that" I replied sounding intimidated.
Sven looked over at Jamie and then back at me."Everyone" Sven said as he pulled out a notepad.
