More weight. I added more weight to the machine and continued triceps pull downs. I had been in the gym for over an hour and my body was sore. I had been waiting for Nicole Van Oscar for an additional 20 minutes.
I had enough. She wasn't coming. I had come to terms with it and accepted my fate. She didn't even know my name I thought. As I was just about to leave I saw her dash into the gym. She was in her aerobic clothes as if she just came straight from a class.
She looked at me and went straight into the management office. Well at least she came I thought. I don't think she came for me however. Gutted, I was about to leave the centre.
"Hey" A voice said. I turned and saw Nicole.
"Where are you going?" She said
"Ah I um, you look busy..." I said
"Stop being silly. I was late so I should apologize" Nicole said as she brushed her hair to the side. I was surprised at her enthusiasm, to the point I had a funny look on my face.
"So where are we going to have this meeting." I said wondering where a good spot to talk to Nicole One-on-one would be.
"Best place would be Drew's office" She said with a big smile. I followed Nicole to the Good Man's office. It was big. Bigger than Sven's office. I had been here once before but it never sunk in. I had to enter it with another person to appreciate the room. It was not the most tidy I had ever seen but it was pretty clean.
"What a nice office Drew has" I said
"It's his second office" Nicole said
"Huh"
"His main office is on the management floor, his using Jerome Cole's office while his overseas."
"Ah that makes sense" I said as I thought about how important this Jerome Cole manager is. He keeps popping up from time to time as this all important person.I wonder if I'll ever get to meet him. I am curious to see if he will live up to all the hype.
"So what can you tell me about this job" I said
"Best job in the world. You get to help all kinds of people. Yeah I love my job." Nicole said as she booted the computer up.
"How's the Goodman as a boss?" I had only met the Goodman on a few occasions and he came across arrogant, sleazy and over confident. That was my perspective but I didn't work for him. Having said that, Lara said good things about him and other people had stated he was the best in the industry.
