I awoke with a grasp. How did I get home into my bed? I quickly got up with my head hurting like no tomorrow. I felt groggy and angry. As I looked up my mum looked at me with an mean glare.
"Did you drive home drunk last night"
"No, I didn't" I said with a splitting headache.
I really could not remember. It was all hazy. I ripped too many bongs and then I slightly recall being pinned to the floor. Mum was just about to say something as my sister Bec entered the room. "Mum I drove him home last night" Bec said as mum backed off.
"If I ever catch you drink driving Jay that is the end of it. I mean it, you can pack your bags and leave if that ever happens" Mum said as she left my room.
It was the first time I had seen her in forever. With work and stuff lately, I had not had any time to spend with her. Mum did work her ass off, I hardly saw her at home.
Rebecca came and sat down next to me.
"Jay, what the hell happened last night? You could not even get into the house." Bec said as I struggled to remember what happened.
"Did you really drive me home?"
"No I didn't"
"Who did then?" I said putting my hand to my head.
It hurt so much now and I felt too sluggish to get out of bed.
"Thank your friend David Lun, he got you a taxi home and one of your friends Goldfish or something drove your car back. Lucky Mum was asleep the whole time" Bec said as I still could not remember anything on how I got home last night.
"Bec I need some water" I said as my mouth was so dry.
"Hold on Jay, what happened you were far from drunk. You couldn't even stand" Bec said.
I didn't tell Bec the truth. I was heartbroken from Nicole Van Oscar that I nearly smoked myself to oblivion. Instead I made up a story where I was in a drinking competition with a few friends and before I knew it I was completely drunk.
Bec believed my story or so I would hope to think. To be honest I kind of just wanted to be alone. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I looked at my messages. I had a lot of missed calls but what struck my eye was a message from Nicole Van Oscar.
