Amber giggled as joe joked about his day at work, her cheeks growing rosy from all the laughing. "Stop it" she laughed as she tried to catch her breath. Joe and amber had grown close ever since they're stumble at the carnival, they had exchanged numbers and now they were at their very first date, at amber's favorite restaurant.
"Fine" he sighed and chuckled "but im trying to teach you some things" he glanced over at amber, his eyes gleaming. "You look beautiful, y'know?" ambers cheeked grew more grinsome as she smiled "well thank you mr.salvatore" she took a sip from her cup, raising her eyebrow. "You are easy on the eyes as well" she winked, his smirk widening.
"So tell me more about your time in paris?" she asked, her fingers gliding against the open menu. "Its beautiful, breathtaking almost" he started "my dad owns two homes and i often visit, you should come with one of these days" he teased as he smirked over at amber. She laughed loudly, feeling comfortable in the small restaurant "are you serious?" she asked "i have never been out the united states before" she said with a smile "well you know what they say life starts at the end of your comfort zone" he smiled back at her, she nodded softly "yeah".

Scott picked another shrimp from his rice, swinging it up in the air and catching it with his mouth. "Im pretty sure that is not how you eat with chop sticks" isaac joked, a chuckle erupting from his chest. "Well i have no idea, this is my first time using them" he exclaimed before taking a gulp of his soda.
"Anything else i can do for you, today" isaac recognized the scent almost immediately, it was lisa, the stranger he had met in the woods a few full moon's ago. "Lisa" he almost whispered "yup" she giggled, leaning over the table where the two young men sat. he furrowed his eyebrows, she wore a name tag and an apron with the restaurants logo "you work here?" he questioned. "I mean it keeps the bills paid while im in town" she summarized, raising her eyebrows at the end of her sentence. Isaac and scott looked at each other "well while you guys stare each other down, ill go get your check" she slipped away abruptly.
"Why didn't you tell me?" scott leaned in closer. Isaac rolled his eyes "im sorry scott i didn't know it was my responsibility to tell you when a werewolf comes into the proximity of beacon hills" scott stood up and picked up his chair and slammed it next to isaac, sitting back down. "Well yes, matter of fact you do have to tell me when a new werewolf comes into beacon hills because last time one did, he tried to end our existence!" they both sat in silence as lisa approached with the check.
She laid it on the table and grabbed their empty plates with one hand, the other placed on her hip "hey isaac, i get out in like 10 minutes, if you want we can go get dessert" she offered, a smirk playing on her lips. "Maybe some-" isaac began to reject her offer but was interrupted by scott "sounds good! I have to stop by allison's anyways and im pretty sure third wheeling is not on your schedule for tonight" scott explained, sitting up and placing a 20 dollar bill on the table "see you later".
Isaac waited outside for lisa, his body leaning against the restaurants wall, soon he saw the brunette walk out whispering to herself something he couldn't make out. "Hey, sorry i didn't know which one was your car" she jumped slightly before turning around to face him "jesus, you scared me" she whispered. He chuckled nervously, she smiled "its the red one" she grabbed his hand and guided him towards her red jeep.
"Favorite color" lisa asked whilst she licked the sprinkles off her ice cream cone "green" isaac answered quickly, watching the girl before him devour her treat. "This town is fairly calm" she interrupted his next question "seems like nothing ever happens" his eyes darted back to her "yeah" he stammered "nothing ever happens in beacon hills".
She smirked "a little tense their cowboy" she joked. He grabbed a napkin and leaned in to clean her cheek, leaving silence in the ocean of questions "we should get going, it is getting pretty late" he threw away both their cones and started walking towards the car, she followed in silence as they both slipped inside her car.
"Thanks for the ride" isaac said as he unbuckled his seat belt "any time!" she smiled. "Here have my number, text or call me whenever you can" she grabbed a pen and grabbed his arm, writing down her number on his skin. "Sure" he smiled "goodnight lisa".
As she drove by he looked down at the ink on his arm, the messy numbers causing him to smile, his smile softly disappearing as he remembers those words from all that time back "move on, make a family, find someone new" the words replayed in his mind from his front door all the way to his bedroom, where he laid with his eyes staring at the ceiling and although he wanted to wait for amber, there would always be the risk that she could never come back.
"Doesn't matter with who" he muttered to himself.
