I was curled up against Wilson on the couch, sobbing into his shoulder. He rubbed my shoulder and murmured comforting words in my ear.

"I don't want to love him, Wilson!" I cried out.

He hugged me tighter. "I know, but is he really that bad? I mean there has to be some good in him, if you love him."

"There is. It's just... He's had to many girls. He tells me he loves me but how do I know that?" I sniffed

"Because I know. He told me the day you got put into a coma. That he well- shouldn't have let the girl he loves get killed."

"He did?" I asked.

"And you don't know how much I hated it." He chuckled.

"Yeah. But I'm with Matt and really I should stay with him."

"Do what you heart tells you to do. If it says be with Matt, then be with Matt. If it tells you to be with Tanner- well..." He trailed off. I know he doesn't want this, for me to love his best friend the school bad boy and player. But this is something I couldn't control; was it?

"I know." I said. "You don't have to say it."

"I just don't want you to get hurt."

"Neither do I." I said glumly.

Wilson turned his head to the clock and released me. "We need to go to bed." He kissed my forehead. "Night, Ri."

"I'll be right up." I said softly.

All I could think about was the unhappy expression Wilson was carrying on his face. He was upset, but he didn't get angry with me. I told Wilson everything, about the click, about when I first felt it- I was at a loss for words now. I guess I almost expected for him to disown me or something. I couldn't imagine what I would've done, I mean being in love with a guy that will never remain faithful. It hurts. I mean what if he breaks me? I'd lose everyone I love because of him. I know I'd become obsessed like every other girl, people would eventually hate me! When he breaks me- who would fix me?

I slowly walked up the stairs and into my room. I changed out of my clothes and into my pyjamas. I curled into bed, and with a hot tear rolling down my cheek, I fell into a dream filled sleep.

I sat in the only meadow this town had. I played with a blade of grass and sang the song Wilson sang to me as a lullaby.

"Lights will guide you home. And ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you." I small smile played at my lips as I twirled the grass between my fingers.

"Riley? Where are you?" I heard Wilson yell.

"Will? I'm here!" I ran toward him, but he wasn't there. He disappeared. "Will?"

"Riley." I heard him whisper as if he was behind me. I turned around but he was no where to be seen. All I could see was the soft greens and purples that blew in the wind of the vast meadow.

"Wilson?" I shouted.

"Riley!? Where are you?" He was screaming.

I was lost, and I didn't know where to go. Mom and Dad were fighting so I ran to the meadow- my happy place. I sang the lulliby to calm me, because Wilson sang it for comfort. I'm only eleven, I don't want to be left here.
