I looked around the classroom and saw the shocked faces of my teacher, my classmates- and Melissa. She gave me a thumbs up and the teacher stood up, clapping. The class followed suit and I became very excited and happy as I heard some boys letting out whoops and cheers. This is going to be better than I thought.

"A plus!" The teacher walked over to me smiling. "You get an A+ on your cover song assignment."

"But I was just doing what you told me to." I said confused.

"Yes but I am counting it as your recent assignment. Which means you will sing with one of my most talented students at the talent show! He is very popular." He sat down at his desk with a smile and instructed the class to continue their work.

I walked over to Melissa and she hugged me. "You never told me that you were such a good singer!" She squealed.

"I thought you knew." I laughed.

"No! You never told me you had a hidden talent." She poked my stomach a bunch of times and I started giggling because it was tickling me. I fell back from laughing so hard that I nearly fell on all the guitars. A pair of strong arms wrapped around me he stopped me from falling. They helped me back up and I saw the death glare Melissa was giving this person. I turned to see- Mason?

"Mason? What are you doing in grade eleven music? I thought you would at least be in Tanner's grade..."

"No, I'm actually a year younger than him." He let go of me as soon as he noticed I was still in his arms. Hm, I didn't really mind it. "By the way- you're a really good singer. Tanner was right." He smiled a crooked smile.

"What do you mean? How could he tell you he was at my house all morning."

"He gave me a ride."

"With Danni."

"Danni? Pff, no. He dropped her off outside her house cause we're neighbors and drove me and Matt."

My eyes widened as I looked at Melissa who still gave Mason the death glare.

"Holy crap!" I said out loud. "He said he was giving her a ride."

"He lied. I thought you knew this kid." He laughed.

I laughed too. I can't believe I'm laughing with one of Tanner's friends.

"Oh, Melissa! I'm really sorry about pushing you into the pool. I thought it was funny- at the time." He apologized.

"It's not okay, that was my favourite outfit! Plus my make-up was ruined too." She pouted and I had to admit she looked really adorable making that face. Curse her cuteness.

"Well, maybe I could make it up to you sometime? I'll buy you a knew favourite outfit myself." He placed a hand over his heart as if making a vow. Aww!

"And by buying you mean..... what stealing?"

"Haha. Very funny. I may hang out with the 'Bad Boys' but I'm not that bad." He smiled. Damn this boy was cute. He even had me thinking about taking him up on his offer.

"Maybe I'll take you up on that offer. I will hold you too it though." She was smiling.

"I count on it." He winked and walked away.

Melissa hugged me and squealed.

"I thought you didn't like him."

"How could I stay mad at a cutie pie like him? Did you see his eyes? And his smile? Oh I can't believe i never noticed him before."
