chapter 23

Elena's pov

When I got home last night Jeremy was still taking the news of Rics passing hard. I felt so bad for him cause after our parents died Jeremy shut everyone out but when Ric came in our lives Jeremy turned into his old self again. Amanda came over early this morning with Miranda let me tell you she did not look good at all. I tried to tell her to sleep and relax but she didn't want to. I knew Rics passing would effect Amanda both physically and emotionally. I wanted to be there for her but I couldn't even be there for myself. I was putting some white covers on the arm chair while Jeremy and Amanda poured paint into a container and began to paint the room.

"This reminds me of when Amanda through that painting party." I say.

"Your talking about when mom and dad we're alive and we were all happy?" Jeremy says. Amanda and I looked at eachother and gave eachother a weak smile.

"Going darker, huh?" We heard Stefan say. I turned and he gave me a small smile.

"Its the only color we had." I told him. Jeremy did not look pleased to see him.

"Where's Miranda? Amanda. " Amanda looks up at him."Why are you wearing a mask?"

"In my old room sleeping, and the smell of paint is making my stomach turn and w-" Jeremy cuts her off

"That's what happens when you decide to paint your dead guardians room in the middle of the night. "

"Jer calm down." Amanda says. Jeremy looks at her and for a moment I seen a little bit of angry in his eyes.

"I dont suppose anyone tried to talk you guys out of doing this soon." Thisis something we all needed to do.

"We have to keep moving otherwise we'll start thinking and we don't want to think too much." Amanda looks at me and Stefan.

"What a hand?" Stefan tells me as he stepped in to the room.

"I'm gonna be sick." Amanda walks out the room and into the bathroom.

"So are you guys back together or something? " Jeremy says. Stefan and I looked at eachother then we lookedat Jeremy.

"What? No, jer, we're just. ..." I didn't know what Stefan and I were.

"I- I was just checking up on you guys seeing how you were doing, after everything." Jeremy glared at Stefan. Just then Amanda walks in.

"We're fine! But, if you are trying to be the good guy again, why don't you do the right thing and give us on day, just one day without any vampires, and take Amanda and Miranda with you!" I was shocked at what he just said. Amanda walked up to Jeremy and slapped him hard.

"You want me and your niece out? Got your wish." Amanda started crying and walk out the room.

"Amanda wait!" Jeremy says as he leaves the room. I dropped the paint roller and walked up to Stefan.

"He didn't mean that. " I can tell Stefan was a little mad at what Jeremy told him and Amanda.

"Yeah,yeah he did." Stefan says as the door bell rang. "I'll get that. " Stefan walks out the room.

Klaus's pov

My mother went to far taking Amanda away from her daughter's birthday. She did not only take Amanda she also took Elena for her wicked ways. She used that history teacher Alaric to finish Mikael's dirty work in killing all her children alone with the entire vampire world.

When I arrived at the Salvatore tomb I seen Esther was already dead. Which I was a little mad cause I wanted to do the honor in ripping her heart out of her chest. I was informed that Alaric was not going to go through the transition and I was happy but it broke my heart hearing Amanda cry in the Tomb while she talked to Alaric. I picked up Esthers body off the ground and left. I brought her back to my mansion and took her into the room where I have all my family's coffins. I placed her back into her coffin. I walked over to Rebekahs coffin and pulled the dagger out of her. I walked back to Esthers coffin.
