The sister i never knew

Chapter Twenty: Unicorn Magic

Shimmers Prov: 

As I open my wings out and examine them. They are very large with snow white feathers on them, when i move them slightly they shine as if they were kissed by the stars which I was told I will now learn to command. I walk over to Shooter and Mystica and smile at them. 

"Good morning Shooter, Mystica." I say bowing down slightly. 

I havent gotten used to the new weight on my head from the horn but i'm slwoly getting used to it. 

"Here let me." Mystica says as I stand up.

She places her horn onto mine and then it slowly starts to glow and then dissapears. I then feel my forehead where my horn once was and notice a strange mark that is now there. 

"This will help you until you learn to use your horn correctly." Mystica says smiling at me. 

"Ok thank you!" I say hugging her white neck. I have to admit it does feel a lot better without the horn on my head because in all honesty, Its heavy!

"Right my dear Shooter and i were thinking that you will have your morning lessons with me and then your evening lessons with Shooter because of corse thats when the stars will come out." Mystica says looking down at me.

"Ok Mystica, Oh can Jade come please? She will feel left out if she doesn't come with me and I dont want her to feel sad." I ask hoping that my best friend will be able to come with me. 

"Very well, only if you can mannage to keep her quite during the lessons because I wont have her disrupt our lessons like she did with Glimmer." Shooter says sternly. 

Last time I took Jade to my lesson she didnt stop asking questions, in all honesty she couldnt help it because she had only hatched a couple of days ago and didn't know anything about this place we live in. She didn't stop asking questions and then the lesson was over and we didn't learn anything. Glimmer told Shooter and he wasnt happy about it and scolded Jade. 

"I'll try to keep her quiet, I'll use fish to keep her quiet" I say laughing. 

Jade had an obsession with fish and when she wasnt talking or flying around she was eating a fish. So with that I walked off and looked for Jade who was, Of corse. Eating a fish.

"Hey Jade Shooter and Mystica said that you could come to my lesson with me." I say picking up my little feline friend.

"Yay, I am glad because I wanted to laugh at you when you dont get the hang of your wings!" Jade said laughing at me. 

"Well then I wont give you any more fish!" I say putting her back down and then walking off. She knew i meant busines so flew over and landed on my head. 

"Ok i'm sorry but if I do laugh its only because you did it to me first!" Jade says laughing.

"Thats fair." I say walking over to my class with Mystica. 

I place Jade on the floor and pull something from my bag. 

"Here this will keep you quiet." I say placing a macrel in her paws.

"I LOVE YOU SHIMMER!" Jade says leaping up into my arms. 

Macrel is her all time favourite fish and she loves when we go to market. I wear a cloak over my wings and try to keep them as low as I can so that people don't see them. And with that i walk over to Mystica. 

"Right class today i'm going to teach you how to conceal your horn. For the first year of your new powers you wont be able to keep your head up correctly due to the fact that your body isn't used to the weight on your head." Mystica says smiling at all of us. I look around and i can see what she means, lots of the new Unicorns are holding their heads at odd angles to find somewhere comfy to set their neck.

"Shimmer come here please." Mystica says and I walk over to her.

"Show them your head dear." She asks and i move my long hair from my face.

My hair has grown right down my back now and my fringe is so long that I keep having to blow if off my face. The curles shape my face and Shooter says it makes me look younger. So I move my hair and then show them the mark on my head. I mannaged to get a look at it last night. its a star shape with a smaller pink star in the center. 

"When you all learn to controll your magic you will be able to hide your horn or wear it as normal. Thank you Shimmer." Mystica says and I step back into line with the others.

"First things First. What is the magic we Unicorns use? My reply is that we use Healing magic and also Defence magic. These are both key skills because if you are injured you can then heal your self and you can also defend yourself when you are being attacked." Mystica says looking at us. 

I look at her in awe. I never knew we could heal our selves, or use defence magic. Its clear that I will have a lot to learn but Mystica said that once the basic magic is learnt the other magic will come naturaly to me. 

"For today lets just try defnece magic." Mystica says walking over to a large field.

Lets just hope the Pegasus Magic is a little easier to learn?
