The sister i never knew

Chapter Three: The Power Dragon.

A maid is running though the forest with a newborn in her arms, having stole her from the Heartfilia mansion because of the rumours spread about the large amount of money she would be able to get because of her powers, she took her chance and fled with the child in her arms. The baby was crying because she was woken from her sleep and also because she was in unfamiliar arms.

"hush little one, soon all that power will be gone and you can go peacefully to the sky..." The maid said soothingly to the baby in an attempt to hush her fretful wails. 

Once the power was drained from her body she wouldn't be able to live, because a wizards life was intertwined to their magic power so when their power is gone she won't be able to live.

Suddenly a loud noise startled the maid. The loud noise was more of a roar than anything els, as the maid kept running she came face to face with a dragon.

"OH MY!" the maid exclaimed placing the wailing infant onto the floor and backing away slightly hoping that the baby would give her a chance to run away.

The maid took her chance while the dragon looked down at the small child and ran away. The dragon looked down at the small child and took pity on her and picked her up in her giant scaly hand. The dragon had magenta scales that shimmered in the sunlight and were edged with silver. She was a very majestic dragon and all who saw here were awed by her beauty.

"What is this?" The dragon said looking down at the child who had stopped crying and looked up at her.

"Poor child did she take you from your home? Well no matter I will care for you now and i will call you....Shimmer because your eyes shimmer just like my scales" The dragon said smiling down at the baby.

"My name is Eclipa child and I will raise you as my child." Eclipa said to the child and then opened her mighty wings and flew away to her home in the mountains. 

The Heartfilia mansion was filled with sorrow at the loss of one of their children and resolved that she would never be mentioned again and if Lucy was to ask about a sibling she would be told that after she was born her mother became barren and couldn't have another child. Lucy would grow up never knowing about her sister and Shimmer would grow up never knowing about Lucy until a fateful day where the two met and their lives changed forever.
