Chapter Twelve: Whats Happened To you?!

Erza Prov:

As shimmer and I run to find Jellal I feel a strange presence in the tower but I can't quite put my finger on it. Shimmer continues to surprise me though as we fight the guards she shows some more Dragon Slaying Magic. 

"Power Dragon Eclipse!" She shouts and her eyes shine bright purple and then she fires magic from her hands that wipes out half of the guards and then I go in and finish the rest off. 

We then come to the room where I was tortured and see two guards staring at us and backing away.

"Now, Now calm down little girls! Just stay where you are!" One of them says looking at the two of us. 

"Out of our way now!" Shimmer shouts.

"Shimmer let me deal with them you go to Jellal" I tell her. She looks at me with a look to say 'Really, Now?!' but then I nod and she walks over to Jellal and unties the ropes that bind him to the large pillar in the centre of the room.

With a swipe of my sward I manage to take out the two guards and run to help Shimmer who is struggling under the weight of Jellal. 

"Jellal you'r going to be ok now, Were her your safe now don't worry we fought back just like you said to. Simon was hurt pretty bad and.....and Grandpa Rob saved my life but.....Didn't make it...But were going to be ok! The others have found some boats and were going to leave this place forever!" I say smiling looking for the same reaction that he gave when we were nearly free.

"Erza..." He says standing up and hugging me. 

Shimmer looks at him a little scared and backs away and looks at me to do the same.

"Jellal?" I ask looking at him.

"Were not leaving Erza, No one can ever leave." Jellal says.

"But i thought you wanted to leave?!" I shout at him and Shimmer continues to look scared of him.

"There is no true freedom in this world it can only be found." He says looking at us.

"In Zerefs world!" And something happens to his left eye. It changes into some strange symbol and I know that something isn't right here.

"You fools try to resurrect him but you couldn't even feel his presence here! And you call your selves devoted followers of his magnificent glory!" And he shoots a beam of black magic from his hand and wounds one of the guards. The second runs away but then Jellal stops him and he starts to expand, growing bigger and bigger until he pops and nothing more is left of him.....

"What are you doing Jellal?!" Shimmer screams at him "If you continue to act like this I will have to use MY magic to stop the Darkness inside your heart!" She pulls out her hands and balls of power form on them and then she looks at him with fear in her eyes. I know this isn't what she wants to do but she knows she must do it if she wants to save him from.....Zeref.
