Chapter Twenty-Five: Why Are You Here?

Shimmers Prov:

Its now dusk and I've just arrived back from the Celestial Spirit world, Shooter thinks that I'm now ready to place the stars in the sky. I'm a little scared because I have only done the star dance once. I'm the youngest person who has managed the dance, so Shooter things that I'm ready to show everyone.

"Do you really think I'm ready? I mean I've only ever done it once...." I ask as I sit on shooters back.

"Listen to me Shimmer, I wouldn't let you do anything if I didn't think that you were ready. You clearly have some type of gift with magic, you can heal wounds that most unicorns struggle with, you took to flying like a duck to water. And you can now learn attack magic with your wings." He says while we walk around.

"Attack magic? I thought you only had Star Magic." I ask as I jump off his back.

"Yes its a special attack that uses our wings. The feathers on our wings turn to razor sharp darts that with a flick of the wing can then use them to defend our self." He says as we reach the lake with everyone staring at me.

"I don't know if I can do this Shooter...." I say a feeling of dread filling my body.

"Why do you feel this?" He asks me.

"I don't know why I just feel like something bad is going to happen." I say wiping my head.

"Just trust in your self and everything will go just how you want it to." He says rubbing his face on my neck.

"Ok if you say so...." I say and stand there next to the lake.

I open my wings and focus my magic into my hand like I did the last time when we all hear something that makes my heart stop.

A Gunshot.

"Where did that come from?!" I shout as everyone starts to run away and suddenly I'm caught in a stampede of the Unicorns.

"What's going on?! Mystica! Shooter!" I shouts while the others run around me.

"Shimmer!" I hear Jade shout.

"Please help me!" I shout to her as she looks for an opening to get me.

"Wait I know!" I jump up and use my wings to fly away.

"OPEN GATE OF THE LION! LEO!" I call and pull out his key.

And with that Leo comes and manages to fight of some people who shot the gun, they are holding nets and magic guns. What are they doing here?! How did they find us?!

"Shimmer are you ok?!" Shooter says running over to me, he has a wound on his side that is causing him to limp.

"Here let me help!" I say and pull out my unicorn horn. They taught me how to store in somewhere else. I still have the star on my head but my long hair covers it well.   

"No don't worry about me, we need to run away because now we cant stay here and I'm sorry about this but I don't think we can take you with us, its a long flight and your wings wont be able to hold out that long but I know a safe place where you can........" He says but then I cut him off.

"No Shooter I'm coming with you! You cant leave me all alone! Your the only family I have please don't leave me!" I shout and hold onto his neck.

"Jade where are you!" Shooter calls.

"I'm here Shooter!" Jade calls and then lands next to us.

"You know where she needs to go." He says looking to Jade.

"Yes sir." Jade says looking at me then flying off.

"JADE WHERE ARE YOU GOING!" I feel like I'm loosing everything that is dear to me.

And then all of a sudden I feel a sharp pain in my side and everything fades to black.

Shooters Prov:

Someone shot Shimmer! Her spirit Leo fights them off while stopping to help me get her on my back.

"Take care of her for me sir." Leo says as he fights off the hunters.

"I'll leave her somewhere safe where I know there are people who will look after her forever." I say and take off into the air.

I fly over the town of Magnolia and see a large tree where I decide I can leave her, I know jade will bring them here and she will be safe. I'm so sorry that all this happened to her because she is such an amazing and talented child, who doesn't know the future she will have. We only know because the Celestial Spirit King told us what would happen to her in the future.

All that I can hope is that her future is filled with people who will care for her and take care of her for us. I add two more charms onto her treasured necklace so that she will always have a piece of us with her, even if we don't see her again she will always have a place in our history, As our Princess.
