Chapter Forty-Six: Loke

Shimmer's Prov:

The guild hasn't been the same since Lisanna passed away. Our old team doesn't go on jobs together now because it reminds us too much that one member is missing, people have changed here too. Mirajane is the one who has changed the most, she now works as the bar maid for the guild and doesn't go on any S-Class jobs anymore. She is also much nicer now too, not that she wasn't nice before but she isn't the moody teenager she was before, she has started to wear a beautiful pink dress with lots of frills over it and her long white hair flows down her back in soft waves instead of in a tight pony tail. Canna has started drinking. A LOT! She now drinks four barrels a day sometimes even more! Happy and Natsu spend more time looking for Igneel taking every lead they can about his father's whereabouts, he promised me that if he was to find Ingeel that he would ask about Eclipa.

Erza goes on lots of difficult S-Class jobs that can take her away from the guild for weeks at a time. Grey has been making sure that Natsu is kept in check when he is at the guild by fighting him, personally I don't see how this makes sure Natsu is good because the whole guild ends up fighting until someone puts a stop to it. As I sit down at the bar to get a drink a catch a scent that makes me gasp.

"Something wrong Shimmer?" Mirajane asks me.

"No...I just thought I smelled someone familiar...that's all." I say picking up my drink and taking a sip.

"Hey um where can I sign up for this guild?" Someone asks us.

I turn around to see a tall boy about my age with orange hair and glasses, he is wearing a green jacket with fur around the hood and an orange top with some type of skull on it. He smiles at us but then stares at me, and I stare back at him.

"Well you can do it right here. My name is Mirajane and I can help you. What's your name then?" She says now in her sweet voice. She's changed so much...

"My name is Loke." He says to her.

"And what magic do you use?" Mirajane asks him.

"I use Ring Magic." He says showing us the ring on his finger. Its a green gem surrounded by silver.

Mirajane smiles at him and then pulls out the guild's stamp.

"Where do you want your mark and what colour?" She says still smiling.

"On my back in green please." He says smiling at me.

He then lifts his shirt up and turns around so that Mira can give him the Fairy Tail Guild Mark, she then places the stamp on his skin and pulls it away to show a clover green fairy tail mark.

"Hey um Loke want me to show you around?" I ask because there is something I have to ask 'Loke'

"Sure." He says smiling.

"Follow me." I say getting off my bar stool and walking around the guild to show him everything.

I then lead him up to my room so we can talk privately. I put a spell on my room so that people can talk to me in private, and it's helped a lot over the years. We walk up the stairs to my room and I close the door. 'Loke' sits down on my bed and smiles a seductive smile at me. Oh yeah I know who he is now.

"Leo what are you doing here?!" I shout at him.

"What do you mean? My name isn't Leo its Loke." He says surprised.

"Oh give it a rest Leo I know its you. I have a contract with you remember, I thought you were in Blue Pegasus with Karen? Also when I tried to summon you, you didn't come? What's up with that?" I say sitting down next to him on my bed.

He lowers his head and mumbles something I cant even hear, even with my dragon slayer hearing.

"Please Leo maybe I can help you with whatever it is." I say softly taking his hand.

Say what you want about Celestial Spirits they have feelings, and I love them dearly. Some of them are crazy like Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius but they are all still my friends.

"I've been banished from the Celestial Spirit World...." He finally says to me.

"What?! What happened Leo?" I say holding his hand a little tighter.

"I killed Karen..." He says and looks me in the eye.

I drop his hand and back away from him. How could he do that? My beloved friend Leo, who would flirt with me and call me cute names. I take a deep breath and then ask him to tell me everything so that I can try and help.

"Karen was mistreating Aries again, Master Bob told her that it was appalling the way she treated her by using her as a shield when she is in battles. So Karen abused Aries and told her that she would chair her here for Seven days to teach her a lesson about telling Master Bob things, even though Aries didn't do a thing. You know how timid she is Shimmer and it's gotten worse since she was contracted to Karen, so I switched places with her and told Karen to release us both from our contracts. Until she would I would stay in the human world draining her magic energy, she didn't like this and would occasionally beat me too." He sais his voice breaking. I could see how much this was killing him by the sound of his voice.

"You don't have to keep going you know Leo...." I say softly.

"Its ok.. I want to tell you. Karen couldn't get the high paying jobs anymore because she couldn't summon another spirit while I was there because she wasn't strong enough, I spent three months there trying to get her to release us from our contracts. I then decided to forgive Karen and would tell her that if she mistreated Aries again I would leave. But I never got the chance. Karen took a job and tried to open another Celestial Spirit gate but she wasn't strong enough, so she was killed on the job. I then left Blue Pegasus and came here to Fairy Tail hoping for a fresh start, and also to wait until I could fade away and be rid of the guilt that Karen caused me." He finished with tears falling down his cheeks.

"Oh Leo..." I say and wrap my arms around him. "It wasn't your fault. Karen wasn't a good person to begin with. She hated when she and I went on the same job because I have all twelve Zodiac Keys and could complete the job easily. I also think she hated the way I treated you, more than once she told me that the reason I was injured on one job was because my spirits were weak from all my sympathy. But don't worry. Here you will be safe, if you want I can try to talk to the Celestial Spirit King..." I say but he cuts me off.

"No Shimmer. He wont listen to you, but thank you anyway. Its good to know that there is a good Celestial Spirit Wizard out there." He says wiping his tears.

"Lets go down stairs I know someone who might like you, and by that I mean like a friend. Don't get any ideas about flirting with the girls here ok?" I say with a smirk.

"Hey I'm only human." He says smiling.

"Well sort of." I say and we laugh going down the stairs.

I fly up to the second floor of the guild hall and shout down to everyone.

"Hey listen up everyone! We have a new Guild member! His name Is Loke! Lets welcome him to the guild with OPEN ARMS!" I shout and everyone cheers. Leo looks much better now but he is a little pale. I hope that he will be able to enjoy his time here.

I fly down to Grey and whisper to him.

"Hey Grey go on a job with Loke will you? He has been hurt in the past so can you try and be his friend?" I whisper into his ear.

"Sure but only if you go on a date with me." He whispers into my ear.

I blush so red it could put Erza's hair to shame, but I then giggle and nod at him. Grey then walks over to Leo and invites him on a job. I just hope it all goes to plan.
