Chapter Five: The Tower of Heaven

Its been a couple of months since my mother the Power Dragon Eclipa left me. It shocks me that she would do this to me but i know in my heart that even though i'm alone i'll find her again some day.

Shimmers Prov:

*sigh* "my feet are killing me." I say out loud as i walk from place to place. 

Ever since Eclipa left i've been wondering from place to place not knowing where to go. I've been wondering about joining a wizard guild as i already know magic, so i'm heading to a town called Magnolia in the hope of joining a guild there called Fairy Tail. In my travels i've heard many people talking about fairy tail and how reckless they are.

I sit down on a log and rub my soar feet, i've been saving my money to buy food on my travels so I didn't want to spend any of the money on things like clothes so i've left my shoes because they were too small and a little girl needed them more than me. 

I've just walked into a small town and look around for somewhere warm to sleep, like a tree or even a bush. 

"RUN AWAY!" I hear a woman carrying a child scream.

"whats going on?!" I ask her

"THEY ARE COMING FOR US! THE BLACK MAGIC WIZARDS!" She shouts and continues to run.

I turn around and see them attacking men, women and children and tossing them into a truck. The people that are in there are screaming and begging them to let the children go but the black magic wizards are laughing at them. 

"Stay quiet ok..." I hear a girl whisper to a wooden box.

She looked to be about eight or nine years old with short red hair. I run over to her.

"Please you have to hide they will come and get you!" I say pulling on her arm.

"Shhhh" She says putting a hand over my mouth "we have to keep quiet can you do that little kid?"

I look at her and nod, she is so kind. She takes my hand and we run as fast as we can away from the wizards.

"My name is Erza" She says smiling at me. But then suddenly we are surrounded.

"HAHAHA! Think you can run kiddies?" A man in a dark cloak laughs at us.

"Get behind me kid i'll protect you." Erza says pushing me behind her.

"please I can help Erza!" I say pulling her arm.

What happened next shocked us both. Someone picked us both up and tossed us with the other people in the truck and started the horses to drive it away. Tears fall down Erza's cheeks as she pulls me closer. 

"I'm sorry Erza its my fault that you got caught. If you weren't looking out for me you could have run away and I could have used my......" I starts to say but then get cut off by her hugging me.

"Don't worry. Stay with me and you'll be fine, by the way whats your name? I've told you mine but you never had chance to tell me yours" She says holding me close. This is the first time someone has held me since Eclipa left.

"My name is Shimmer." I say and then we fall asleep wrapped in each others arms.

"Wake up SLAVES" A man shouts at us hitting the bars of the truck we are in.

Erza and I stand up and then hold hands and walk onto a dock then climb together onto a large boat. We sit down together and talk about things that we like, Erza loves strawberry cake and I love Chocolate cake. She loves friendship and so do I. As i'm about to ask the next question a wizard calls out to us.

"SLAVES!" He shouts getting out attention.

"WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME HAHAHAHA!" He shouts and Erza and I clasp hands close. 

As we look out at the horizon and see the beginnings of a tower of some sort. It has lots of strange angles and then many soldiers shouting at other workers.

"This is the tower of heaven!" he shouts and pushes us out of the boat and into the tower.
