The sister i never knew

Chapter six: New Friends

It's been two months since Erza and I came to the Tower of Heaven and although life is difficult here with all the work they have us do, in the night when we are all in our cell together it's not so bad.
"Stay by me Shimmer and I'll look after you. I Promise." Said Erza when we walked of the boat and into the tower.
Shimmer prov:
As we walk to collect our tools I see some of the other children from our cell looking very tired. But then I suppose we all look like that now after all we work from dawn until dusk which they use magic to hold off  so we work for about 14 hours every day. Grandpa Rob always tells us stories from when he was a wizard in a magic guild and they always make me tear up because then I start to think of Eclipa and my heart breaks a little more....
"Don't worry young ones, my time may soon be over but you all have young spirits that will travel far away from this Tower so fear not." Grandpa Rob says to me Erza and some other children in our cell.
Shô looks at grandpa rob confused.
"What does that mean grandpa rob?" He asks
"Yeah I don't really understand either!" Says Milliana who has some kind of obsession with cats
"I think what Grandpa Rob is trying to say is that even though he might not get out of here like he was when he came in. We will get out stronger than before. Right grandpa?" Says a young boy about Erza's age with blue hair and a strange mark over his left eye. And his name is Jellal.
"That's right my boy" Grandpa rob says to him patting his head.
We've been thinking about making an escape route to try and get out of here. We've been smuggling some small tools and always putting them back so that the guards don't suspect a thing because I've seen some kids try and keep tools and then they disappeared never to be seen again......because the guards must have killed them.
"Let's hope this works Shô because this is your plan after all" I say smiling at him.
It was actually quite a clever plan because there are some boxes in our cell that we can use to cover the hole, and we always work when the guards are changing shifts to stop them noticing or seeing us. We all lie down for the night and Erza pulls me close and hugs me and I hug her back because not only does it feel warm but it also is nice to have someone care for you like Erza does for her friends who she calls family because in a place like this, it's important to find people who you can trust with your life.
Even if she isn't my mother Eclipa....
She is still my family now and forever.
No matter what.....
