Tonight is date night, and nervous ain't even the word to describe how I'm feeling. This isn't the first date, but this is the first double date and I couldn't wait. My phone started ringing, bringing me out my thoughts.

"Hello."

"Wassup man." Martin yelled through the phone.

"Quit allat, it's too damn early."

"Well you ready? 'Cause im here."

I yawned, standing up and throwing on a tee and some sweats. "Yeah, I'm ready dude."

"Obviously not, I hear all that shuffling."

"Shut up." I chuckled, "I'm coming out."

"Alright." I said and hung up.

I ran out to the car after locking my door. I swung his door open, hopped in, and gave him a head nod. "So where we goin' fammo?"

"Jewelry store." He said cheesing while pulling off.

"Alright." I sat back and relaxed.

"This one or this one?" He asked me.

"You should get the Rose Gold one." I said pointing to the necklace.

"Yeah, that is kinda nice ain't it?" He mumbled. "How much?" He asked the employee.

"1,500."

"Aw, that ain't bad."

My eyes widened, "You only knew her for 2 weeks."

"She's the one for me, I see it."

"Okay." I said holding my hands up. "I support your decision."

"This why you my brother." He said patting my back. I smiled and motioned for him to buy the necklace.

"I'll take it." Martin said.

After we left the store we came back to my house and Martin was already playing.

"What you wearing tonight?"

"A button up and some khakis." I said shrugging.

"Fresh to death." He said clapping.

"What about you?" I asked.

"Black v-neck and white pants."

I nodded, "That's good."

"We going to get ready at your house?" He asked laughing.

"Hell nah, that's that gay shit man." I straight faced him and couldn't help but laugh.

"You know I'm playing."

"Yeah, you play all day." I said shaking my head.

He fanned me off, "You nervous?"

"Hell yea."

"Me too. I'm scared." He said.

I laughed again, "Aye what time is it?"
