Chapter 10: HAPPY APRIL FOOLS

Lauren's POV

My sisters and I were suddenly awoken when we heard an airhorn booming throughout our room. I think Lisa even fell from her bed.

What on earth is going on?

"Wow, I didn't know our alarm clock was converted into SpongeBob's alarm clock." Dani sarcastically mumbles but I heard it. Lisa jumps back on her bed and falls asleep instantly.

Looking up from our beds, we saw Alex and Nick attempting to mess with our blankets.

"What has gotten into you two?" My face turns into a scowl as my sleep had been interrupted!

"Hmm, considering it's April 1st... and well," our two brothers share mischievous smirks. "HAPPY APRIL FOOLS!!" They continued, spraying foamy substances all over our faces.

"Okay! Not cool!!" Lisa gets up from her bed and quickly steals the can of foam from Alex, aiming directly at his face.

His arms were held up in defense. "Please don't."

Our door busts open once again and there stood Joey. "Did you get them yet?"

"Absolutely."

"Come on!" Then they all ran out of our room, leaving the door slightly opened. Ugh, that's so annoying.

"I can't even imagine Alex running like that." I comment before dropping my head back on my pillow.

That's a typical experience in the Cimorelli household every April 1st, people. Basically, we have prank wars with our siblings. It's boys against girls and this had been a tradition since Joey was like 4. Us girls won last year and I guess our brothers came for revenge this year. Mom literally hates this day because it would mean messy silly strings and scattered pies all over the house. Dad likes it though since he thinks we should just 'have fun while we can'. Honestly, I'm starting to run out of ideas of what pranks to do but thankfully, we have Dani and Lisa on our side. Those are legends when it comes to pranks.

"Hey girls, breakfast is ready." Chrissy calls out from the door and we all groan.

"5 minutes."

"You guys! It's April Fools! We must get back at Alex and the others." She points out.

"And when did you become so interested in prank wars?" Dani asks matter-of-factly.

Here's a thing, Christina definitely hates this competition. She thinks it's weird and immature but nonetheless, she joins too!

"I know, but I changed my mind ever since Alexander made me trip on the hall... and that was just a few minutes ago. See," she shows us her arm which was now bruised due to her fall.

"Well, you gotta trust no one this day." Lise points out and shrugs. "I'll go brush my teeth." Then she proceeds to our room's bathroom.

"AHHHHHHH!" She shouts right after she had just entered.

"Why? What's wrong?" We rush over to where Lisa was.

"Someone changed the toothpaste into this," all our faces were scrunched up in disgust as she showed us the tube which is now filled with a gooey-thing. It's so disgusting. "Eww."

"You know what that means?"

We all share a look and nod all at the same time. Well, that was weird.

"It's on..."

Hours had passed and the Cimorellis' house was a total mess. Lynne was still thankful the kids didn't break any of the furniture, YET.
