Chapter 6

🔃Megan Carter's POV🔃

"There is nothing going on between me and James Crafter." I replied to Corrie's questions.

"It didn't look like that to me. You two looked pretty comfortable with each other." Corrie narrowed her eyes skeptically.

"Please! I was anything but comfortable standing next to him." I smoothly lied.

"Really? Are you sure?" She pestered.

"Corrie, just drop it! I. Don't. Like. Him! I don't even know the guy!" I half shouted.

"Fine! I'll drop it!" She threw her hands in the air exasperatedly.

Just then we heard the door of the suite close. We turned to see Emily with a frowned expression enter the living area.

"Ems. What happened? Are you fine? Did Matt do something?" I asked, worried.

"No. He didn't do anything. And no. I'm not fine because I just broke the guy's heart!" She said.

"Oh my god, Ems! I'm so sorry." I said while I hugged her.

"I know. And it's fine." She said. "I just didn't feel anything for him."

"It's okay." Corrie said as she joined us in the hugging session.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Corrie asked.

"No, not really. It's over. I'm fine. It was anyways nothing." She sighed.

I took her word for it because I know Ems. If she was not crying over it then she was just guilty about breaking his heart. She'll get over it.

"Oh and by the way.....We have to tell you something." Corrie bit her lip sheepishly.

"What?" Ems asked with suspicious eyes.

"You know James and his friends Max and Chase, right?" I smiled sweetly.

"Yeah....The ones which we met at that diner, right?" She asked

"Right. Okay, so we kinda have to treat them to dinner tonight, at Appical Ville, at 8." I said.

"WHAT? How? When? What happened? Please tell me you both didn't do anything extremely stupid!" She exclaimed.

"Relax. We'll tell you everything. Just sit down." I tried to calm her down with a weak smile.

So me and Corrie told her everything about the DDD incident and how it landed us treating them to dinner. This took about a good half an hour. Throughout, Ems just listened but sometimes gave an amused laugh or a frown.

"You guys are so crazy." She smiled, shaking her head in amusement.

"But that's the reason you love us." Corrie cooed.

"That I do." Ems said as she looked at us adoringly.

"Okay, so now we have an hour and half to get ready and I'm going to need that time, so shall we meet in about that time?" Emily said

"Yeah, okay." Corrie and I replied in sync.

I went back to my room and decided to take a hot, relaxing shower. Once I was done, I put on a robe and exited the bathroom. I saw that I still have a good half hour left. I picked out a sleeveless navy blue dress out, which hugged my curves in the right places and stopped mid thigh, and made my way towards the balcony after placing it on the bed. It was a pretty windy night which made my hair fly a little. I stood there, leaning against the railing trying to forget the nightmare which I had this morning. I lied to Emily.
