<James POV>
"Good God, now what are we gonna do?" Megan exclaimed as she plonked on the metal bench and leaned her head on the wall behind of the jail.
"You know, that wall is probably dirty as shit?" I smirked, trying to tease her as I took a seat beside her. I expected her to jump away from the wall in fright, but she didn't.
"Whatever. I'm too tired to care." She sighed and turned her head to look at me. "So, now what are we gonna do?"
"What do you want to do?" I winked at her and started chuckling. She gave me a raised eyebrow with a slight twist of the mouth, making me shut up and giving her a sheepish look, which made her smirk in turn.
"You're right, what are we gonna do?" I repeated her question. Suddenly, her face brightened up and she got that glint in her eyes, whenever she had some idea.
"I'll tell you. We're gonna use our one phone call!" She exclaimed and stood up. She went towards the bars of the cell, and through half her face out, she shouted.
"Officer! Officer McKay!"
I went to stand beside her and saw that Officer McKay was coming towards is with a scowl on his face. He was a man in his early 30s, with jet black hair and brown eyes and a puffy moustache with a broad and built body.
"What?" He asked in annoyance once her reached our cell.
"Can we get our 'one phone call'?" She asked with pleading eyes. His eyes narrowed.
"How do you know about your 'one phone call'? And plus, who are you gonna call? You yourself said that you're tourists."
"First of all, what you think we are, dumb? We know the rules, okay? And plus, we didn't come alone for 'tourism', we came with our friends." Megan stated.
"Okay, you two can get your own phone call." He sighed. "Garret! Open their cell and let them have their 'one phone call'"
"Thank you so much!" Megan smiled.
"Whatever." He muttered.
Garret opened our cell and took us both out and led us to the telephone. He instructed us not to go anywhere or run because this station is filled with police, like that wasn't so obvious, and left.
"Okay, so who do we call?" I asked.
"Um, I don't think we should disturb Ems and Chase on their date. Let's try DM!" She suggested.
"You're right." I replied and picked up the phone off the stand and dialled Max's number. It rang for quite a while before he picked up. I could hear giggling and squealing, of a girl, which would be Corrie and then the giggles turned into, um, moans and then suddenly the line went dead. What the hell? Oh my god. Yuck! I disturbed them during their, ahem, 'love-making'.
"What's wrong?" Megan asked when she saw me looking at the phone with wide eyes.
"I've just been scarred for life!" I exclaimed with horror.
"What happened?" She asked with wide eyes.
"I, um, called and when someone picked up, I, uh, heard giggles and then moans. I, ahem!, disturbed them during their 'love-making.'" I stated, appalled. I looked at Megan and suddenly she burst into a fit of laughter.
"It's not funny!" I huffed.
"You're right. It isn't, it's outright hilarious!" She continued with her laughter fit and then sobered up after a whole of 80 seconds. Yes, I was counting the seconds.
"You done?" I asked.
"Yeah. Oh, man! That was funny!" She exclaimed wiping a year that fell from her eye. Was it that funny?
