Chapter 34

🔃Megan's POV🔃

I was crying. No, I was more like howling. Ems and Corrie were trying everything to calm me down but nothing was working. They entered my house and then my room only to find me weeping like a baby. Since then, they have tried their level best to get the reason out of my and they have reached the conclusion that it is related to HIMYM.

"Megan, it's okay. Just calm down, huh? It's just a TV show." Ems tried while rubbing soothing circles on my back, as we all three sat on my bed with the laptop in front of me. My howls increased.

"N-no! I-it's m-more t-than that!" I sobbed.

"Okay, enough! Now, first tell us the proper reason as to why you're howling like a dog, and then you can sob to your heart's content." Corrie ordered.

I took deep breaths and eventually got my crying in control. I took a shaky breath before starting. "It's over! It's over, Corrie! While I was out on a road trip, they released the finale! And I j-just s-saw the finale! And it just..." The weeping started again.

"What's over? HIMYM?" Ems asked in surprise.

"Yes!" I howled even louder.

"Ssh, hush, Megan. Or else, you're gonna get Aiden up here." Ems warned. I instantly got to working on controlling my sobs. If Aiden came here, he would never let me live it down that I was crying over a TV show.

"Megan, cry louder!" Corrie demanded, in the hope of making Aiden come here to which Ems threw a pillow at her.

"Okay, so you're crying because it's over?" Ems sighed.

"No!" I exclaimed. "The finale..."

"What about it?" Ems asked, getting up from the bed and moving to get me a glass of water from the bed stand.

"Barney and Robin get fuckin' divorced! The group falls apart! Robin becomes an antisocial bitch! The Mother dies! The kids are just stupid! Barney has a baby with some stupid slut! And to top it all, Ted goes with Robin in the end!" I sobbed in one breath.

Ems dropped the glass on the floor, breaking it in shock and both of them screamed at once. "WHAT!?"

"I know right!?" I weeped.

"That is bull crap! That just can not happen! I refuse to fuckin' believe it." Corrie shook her head in denial, rapidly.

"Wow. That was unexpected." Ems murmured as she took her place again.

"It was." I hiccuped.

"It's just...unbelievable." Corrie whispered. After a few moments of silence, and me getting my erratic sobs into hiccups, Corrie finally said.

"I am so gonna get those son of bitches writers of this TV show! Dammit!" She growled making me and Ems laugh uncontrollably. After it laugher subsided, the tears still fell out of my eyes.

"Hey, it's okay. It's over, you can't do anything about it." Ems consoled.

"I know." I hiccuped. "But it just hurts to see such a disappointing ending."

"Yeah." Corrie agreed.

"Anyway, forget all that." I began, wiping my tears away. "I'll just watch the seasons all over again to console myself." Ems and Corrie burst into a round of giggles.

After calming down and putting an end to all the weeping, the girls and I got to talking before we started our movie marathon.

"So, what's next for you and Chase?" I asked Ems as I picked out a cupcake from the box they had got.

"Okay, about that..." She began. "I needed to tell you guys what we both decided."
