Somewhere Along The Road (Completed and editing)

*Chapter 12

"Okay, guys. Ready?" I asked as we got out of the SUV. We had bought all the supplies we needed and everyone knew the pranks. I had the box of eggs in my bag, DM was wearing a huge wig which contained the balls for the spit balls, Ems just had a flask of alcohol so that she could get the courage to do this, Chase was too busy controlling Ems that he couldn't carry anything, James had the fart bomb and Corrie, well she didn't have anything because she herself was enough.

I walked up to the ticket counter and asked for six tickets. We went for a local action movie. Once inside, people were giving us weird stares maybe because of DM's colourful wig and the fact that Ems was screaming weird names at people who were dressed funnily.

"MY GRANDMOTHER HAS BETTER FASHION SENSE THAN YOU, AND SHE IS WORSE THAN NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM'S GEANDMOTHER!" She screamed at a girl who was wearing a multi coloured top and parrot green pants. Okay, seriously, that combination made me cringe too. But Ems's comment made all of us laugh our asses off. We all headed towards the the local movie screen and took our seats and a guy behind DM asked him to move because DM's wig was blocking his view but DM just stuck his tongue out at him and that guy scowled and changed his seat. We all laughed silently at DM's childish behaviour.

"Ready?" I asked as the credits came on. Everybody nodded. It was some weird local action movie and completely sucked but the people beside us seemed to love it.

"THIS MOVIE SUCKS BALLS!" Corrie screamed at the screen, earning disapproving looks from everyone else.

"I AGREE, CAPTAIN!" Ems screamed and giggled. I looked at my best friends and started laughing like a maniac which earned me scowls and groans from everyone else.

"You guys are gonna embarrass me!" Chase whisper shouted. I saw Corrie nudge DM and he then removed the balls from his wig and and the straw from his pocket. A few moments later spitballs were raining on the screen and we all bursts into fits of laughter. The rest of the people started groaning and screaming. I got up from my seat and beckoned others to follow me. We made our way outside while kicking others and muttering 'sootchie, sootchie, make way, make way.' Once we were out we looked at each other and burst out laughing. We decided to go for the movie 'We're the Millers' which was playing in the screen beside. We sneaked in like ninjas and it was easier since the movie had already started playing. As we took our seats, I froze. The strip scene of Jennifer Aniston was playing.

"OOOOHHH! THE FEELS! WOHOOO!" James screamed at the scene and many people turned around and glared at him while we all just laughed.

This time it was my turn to play the prank. I removed the egg box from my bag and turned around so that I could face the projection screen. I removed one egg from the box and chucked it at the projection screen and. . Bulls eye! I mentally patted my back for my amazing aim.

"Damn, you're good!" James said from beside me.

"I know!" I smirked.

"Wanna try?" I asked.

"Definitely!" He cheered as he took an egg and chucked it at the projection screen. It hit the target perfectly. I high fived him but our happiness didn't last long as the people below us started screaming and we had to run out of the screen. We were laughing like crazy as we exited the screen.

"Man! That was so epic! The moment you threw that egg the whole screen became yellow!" DM said as he chuckled.

"Yup! That was awesome!" Ems giggled.

"I've never seen Emily so hyper but I really like this side of her." Chase said as he looked at Ems.

"Dude, you've got it bad." James said as he patted Chase's back as if he's feeling sorry for him. Men. No, wait. Boys.

"Okay, now next movie! How about a horror film?" Corrie said as she rubbed her hands together.

"I'm in!" I announced.

"Me too!" Ems giggled. Even the guys seems to agree so we went to see a horror flick which was playing in screen 5. We again sneaked in and took the seats at the back. I had never seen this movie before or even heard of it, as a matter of fact. I couldn't even pronounce the name properly but I can say this much that the movie was nothing but crap! It wasn't even freakin' scary! I mean, come on!

"Okay, people. Time for our next prank." James said as he removed the fart bomb. The fart bomb was something we found at the store. It was a pump kind of thing that made a fart noise when you press it. So, as soon as the door creaking sound in the movie came on James pressed the pump and a loud, like really loud, fart noise came out. All the six of us burst out laughing and some people who were screaming also joined us. We, unfortunately, had to leave the screen because people started screaming at us. Once we came out we were trying to calm down and a guy, who I was guessing was in his early thirties came in front of us. He looked a lot like an official person with that suit and everything and kinda looked liked a stuck up ass.

"I'm guessing you people are the ones who have been interrupting the movies running in the screens?" He asked curtly.

"Yes, and who are you?" Chase asked.

"Well, I'm the manager of the theatre and if you would, please follow me. You have been creating a nuisance and you have to pay for it." He said in a clipped tone. I snorted.

"In your dreams." I said as I removed an egg from the box and threw it at his face. Before anyone could react we all ran through the hall and were out in a few minutes loading in the car, laughing our asses off.

"Damn it! Megan, that was epic!" DM said as he drove away.

"I know." I smirked.

"Man, you just always surprise me." James said as he looked at me.

I just winked at him in response and turned to see Corrie giving me a knowing look. I just stuck my tongue out at her.We continued to laugh about the whole scene again. We were all pretty hungry so we decided to go for dinner at a small diner.

"MTM accomplished!" Corrie squealed. as we sat in the diner enjoying our dinner.

"Yup!" DM smiled.

"This night definitely goes on my list of telling weird stories to my kids." Ems giggled.

"Yeah, it does." Chase smiled and leaned in to kiss her.

"Cut out the PDA!" I said but they just ignored me. How rude.

"That was a night to remember." James said.

"It most definitely was." I smiled as I looked at him. We just stared at each other until I looked away with a blush creeping its way up onto my cheeks.

I realised that with each day I was falling for James, and I was falling hard. And I just hoped he felt the same.

Man, this road trip was going to be something that I would never ever forget.
