Neko!Levi x Reader {AU}

~No Way in Hell~

 "By any chance do you know what was in those titan things you were talking about?" I asked with a puzzled look. Hanji too looked puzzled and began to think. As I watched her, her features suddenly began to change and her eyes opened wide. "Yes! I believe so!" She began, "When I was back in my world we noticed that it was mostly made up of spinal tissue..." She slowly pulled off her glasses and cleaned the lenses her shirt before placing them back on her bright smiling face.

 I looked over to Levi and we both exchanged glances. Hanji looked over to me and without warning took me into her embrace and hugged me tight. She then spoke to me in what sounded like her version of whispering, "Thank you (r/n), I'm sure I know what we need now!" Levi's stare intensified and his ears folded back as he flicked his tail, "That's enough shitty glasses, hands off." 

 Instead of letting go Hanji hugged me even harder as she looked at Levi with both amusement and slight curiosity. I just stood there confused and a little surprised. Levi's tail began to flick more frequently, showing that he was slowly getting more and more irritated. 

 "Hey shitty glasses, off."

"Why should I shorty?" Hanji teased, "Am I not allowed to touch (r/n)?"

"We have a lot to talk about and you're wasting time." Levi scowled.

"No I don't think that "wasting time" is why you don't want me touching (r/n)~ " Hanji said with a wide grin, "Just admit it, you've got a soft spot for (r/n)!". Levi's expression didn't change much, it more or less became more irritated and unamused, the accusation didn't seem to phase him, which in all honesty I wouldn't expect it to.

"Tch, shut up four eyes, why would I have a soft spot for her? Anyways, the more time you spend hugging and shit the longer I'm going to stay like... this." He said the last part with what sounded like disgust laced within his voice. Hanji's grin disappeared but I could tell she didn't completely believe him. 

 The hug began to get awkward so I pried myself from Hanji's arms and brushed myself off, "Well I'm not that touchy of a person anyways, but thanks for the hug... Anyways, you said you know what you need now?" Hanji looked at me and a big bright smile lined her face once again. There was this spark that flashed in her eyes when I asked and I knew she was more than willing to share. 

"Well, lucky for me, I've managed to save a few samples of Shorty's hair... I believe that if I use a little bit of what titian serum we have left and the samples I have, I might be able to get him back to his normal size and rid him of his feline features..."  She placed a finger upon her lips as she went into deep thought. Levi looked somewhat disturbed and disgusted; I believe we both were asking the same question, 'where did she get samples of hair and more importantly why?'... Hanji, seemingly reading our minds answered our question, "Yeah, I'm sorry shorty but I kinda went into your room and took some hairs off your pillow, hope you don't mind. I didn't know if at some point we'd need them so I just kinda got them so that I could be prepared." Levi flicked his tail before replying, "Why the fuck would you need samples of my hair?!" Hanji looked at him, whatever remnant of her smile was gone, her face took on a very serious expression, "Clones Levi... Clones... We could save humanity with a bunch of short grumpy Levis... We just need to find some way to make those clones..." 

 Levi knotted his brows and scowled, "Are you fucking serious?" With that said, he jumped off the couch and landed on the floor with a quiet thud, as he walked he brought his hand up to his face and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Where're you going?" I asked. He stopped for a few seconds but he failed to turn around, "Bed." That's all he said. The room went silent and with that silence came awkwardness.

"So... (r/n)... Since short stacks is leaving I feel like this is my opportunity to talk with you one on one. We can get to know each other a little better." Hanji pushed her glasses up and managed a small smile which slowly grew wider. She walked over and sat by me. "So (r/n), are you still in school? I'm assuming that you are because you look like your around sixteen or so, maybe a little older." 

 "Your close, I'm actually seventeen at the moment, I'll be turning eighteen soon though, and yes, I am still in school; I'm senior in high-school." I gave a friendly smile but before we could continue, our attention was grabbed by the flickering of lights. The house began to grow cold and the lights suddenly went out. "Shit!" I exclaimed. Hanji began to feel around for me as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, "(r/n), what's going on? Why'd the lights suddenly go out? Why is it cold all of a sudden?" I could feel her shiver as her hand made contact with my cheek. 

 "It's probably a storm... The heater shut off and so did the lights, so I'm guessing we have no electricity..." I sighed before continuing, "Stay here please. I'll go get a blanket along with Levi..." I got up and ran my hands along everything as I made my way to my room. When I entered I was met with the voice of a very pissed and confused Levi, "(R/n), why is it so cold?!" I could practically hear his teeth chattering from here, "Electricity went out along with the heater." 

 When I finally reached him I pulled him and the blanket covering my bed into my arms. I slowly made my way through the dark hallway back into the living room where Hanji waited for both Levi and I to return. My eyes had finally adjusted to the darkness that surrounded us and I flopped onto the coach and spread the blanket over both Hanji and I with my free arm. She scooted closer and we all huddled together. I could tell that Levi was made slightly uncomfortable but in a way so was I, I'm not a touchy individual and as far as I know neither is he. Hanji soon broke the silence with a suggestion, "I hearrrd..." She began while shaking slightly, "That heat is transferred fassterrr and more effff...eectivly... if those who'rrrre tryiing to warm themselllves are nakked..."   

 "Hanji..." I began but soon was interrupted by Levi who quickly and sternly said, "No way in hell."
