"Be patient and tough: someday the pain will be useful to you." Ovid

"BABY" I scream as I awake from my nightmare. My baby, where did my baby go, she needs me, my angle needs me. I get up from my bed and I run to every room in my house looking for my baby. She is here. She has to be. My baby isn't dead.

I look everywhere in the house and I can't find her. Where could she have gone? No. Alex took her. He wanted her away from me just like he wanted to take everyone else from me.

My mom finds me as I reach for the door.
"What are you doing?"

"He took her." My mom grabs my hand and takes me to my room. She laid me down and started playing with my hair.

"Sleep sweetie." I close my eyes and as soon as I do, darkness consumes me.

It's been a week since I've been released from the hospital. I have come back to school for the  two days that are left before graduation.

Cassia and Cara have been by my side through it all. I talk to Vanessa when she gets home from school, but during school hours Cassia and Cara have made it their duty to keep me going.

"Mia, you look pretty today." Cassia tries to complement me. "Like an angel." The minute the word leaves her mouth, I see the look of regret in her eyes. Tears start to fall down my cheek.

"Oh Mia. I forgot, please forgive me." Cassia apologizes while Cara hugs me.

"Please calm down, Mia." I start sobbing. I want my angel. I close my eyes to try to stop the crying, when suddenly I feel someone taking me from Cara's embrace.

"Mia, I'm so sorry. I'm never going to forgive myself." Alexander whispers in my ear as he hugs me. "I regret it, I never wanted to see you this hurt." I hold on to him, like if he is my support.

"Al, who is this girl? Why are you hugging her?" I hear a girl voice. I look up to see Gabrielle, she has one hand on her hip and she looks worried.

"Um, she is my sisters best friend, remember I told you about her." He let goes of me and goes and gives Gabrielle a kiss on the cheek.

Gabrielle's goes up to me and puts both hands on each shoulder.

"I'm sorry for your lost." She pulls me in for a hug.

"What?" I have a shocked face.

"Al told me that you were in the car with him when he had the accident. He said you guys were driving to pick up Vanessa." She let goes of me. "When he told me that you were pregnant and that you had lost it, he cried. I have never seen him care about someone so much, it made me fall in love with him even more." She goes and stands next to him.

"She. My angel was a 'she' not an 'it'." I stare at Alexander as I say it. "I had a dream while I was at the hospital and I dreamed of a little girl." Gabrielle gives me a small smile.

"Yeah, I bet she was beautiful." I don't know why, but when she said that I smiled. For the first time someone isn't running away from the topic of my angel.

I take a hold of her hands and I look at her.

"She was. She had these big blue eyes and a big smile. In my dreams she is always happy."

"Maybe it's a sign telling you that she is okay." I look at her in shock.

"Then she is happier then she would have been here." I give her a small smile.

"Why would you say that?" She asks me. We have forgotten about the people around us.

"Let's just say that, she would have known the feeling of being left."

"Okay. Gabby let's get going." Alexander tries to pull Gabrielle away from me.

"Why? I want to talk to Mia she seems like a really nice girl." She tries to remove her hand from his.

"You don't know her." He argues with her.
"He is right Gabrielle, we don't know each other. I might be the type of girl who likes to spill secrets to create drama." When I say secrets I look straight at Alexander's eyes.

She finally decides to walk away. Cassia and Cara have an 'I'm proud' face on.

"She is really nice."

"Mia, don't you dare to try and see the good in her. Pretend she doesn't exist. I know you, and I know that once you see the good you are going to want to be friends with her, and you can't."

"I won't. Let's get to class." I say as I start making my way to 4th period.

Today is the last day of school, the whole senior class is rehearsing for tonight, Graduation.

I was always told that high school is the best time of your life, and for me they were, up till senior year when everything went wrong. I have also heard that in high school is where friendships break and others are form to last a lifetime. I was lucky to have formed two amazing friendships.

I was always the one to be Vanessa's and Alissa's rock, I needed to always be strong for them. With Cara and Cassia, it's different, they are my rock. They have seen me at my weakest and they have lifted me up. I will forever be in great debt with them. Even though I haven't been the best of company, they did everything in their power to make the pain a little more tolerable.

I look around the stadium and I see the whole class stand.

"Congratulations class of 2015!!!"
