"Words, how little they mean, when you're a little too late." Taylor Swift
"Oh my sweetie, I can't believe you are leaving to college already."
"Mom..."
"I know, I know, it's for the best. I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too." I give my mom a hug. "I'm going to miss you all."
"Girls, we have to go, the bags are in the taxi."
I turn to my dad."I'm going to miss you daddy." I give him a hug too.
"Me too. Let's go." He puts his arm around my shoulder and gives me a kiss on my head.
"I'll take care of her, I promise." I see Cassia walk to the door. "Now we have to go."
We walk out of the house and I see Alexander outside of his.
"Can I speak with Mia for a second."
"No." I hear Cassia say.
"I'm okay. You guys go to the taxi, I'll be there in a minute."
They all walk to the taxi, leaving Alexander and I alone.
"Please don't go, Mia,"
"We have talked about this, I can't stay and wait for you to man up." I get closer to him and I pull the letter from my bag.
"Please, read this." I hand the letter to him. I turn around.
"Think about Angel. She would have wanted her parents together."
"Angel would have wanted her parents happy, and I can no longer be happy with you."
"Yes you can.""How? I'm scared to walk out of my house because I don't want to see the face of that man. How am I suppose to be happy if you come with your family and to tell you the truth, I don't want them." I start to walk to the taxi. "I have to do it for me. For once I want to do what I want to do, understand that."
"Mia, please."
I continue to walk, I don't bother looking back. I hug my parents one more time and I open the door to the car.
"Mia!" I turn to his voice. A tear escapes my eye and I turn to the car and I get in.
"I love you." He yells.
