Chapter Twenty

Harper, Daniel, and Alex finally arrived in Australia after a long and quite boring flight.

Through out the flight Harper barely got any shut eye - her worries and fears about her younger sister Gemma wouldn't leave her alone. 

"Any guesses to where they might've set base?" Harper could hear Alex ask from beside her.

"Well they are sirens so my money is on somewhere along the beach."
Harper replied.

Daniel departed from the group and returned in a matter of minutes. It looked like he had secured a taxi to take them to the beach. From there they would have to search for Gemma.

They grabbed their luggage from the baggage claim area and left the airport and ushered their way through the crowd, and departed away from the airport by taxi.

Hopefully, Harper would reunite with her sister soon.

Gemma followed after Penn, Lexi, and Thea into the house - she saw Lexi plopping down on the couch in tiredness and Thea went upstairs to Gemma assumed her room. Which left Penn and Gemma alone.

"So Gemma. " Penn started.

Her eyes gazing into her own as she stepped in Gemma's direction.

"Penn?" Gemma questioned albeit a little nervous to what Penn needed to ask her.

"I couldn't keep my thoughts in anymore so I'm just going to outright ask. " Penn stated and continued, "who was the boy you were talking to earlier?"

The color drained from Gemma's cheeks. "W--what boy?" Gemma questioned back - although even before she became a siren her lying skills weren't the best.

"I know you're lying, Gemma. So just answer the question already. "

"I don't know. " Gemma states honestly. "Gemma?"

Penn was on the verge of getting angry and Gemma really didn't need that right now.

"No. Really. I have no idea who he is. " Gemma said.

It was the truth too. Gemma had no clue what Viserys did for a living.

He was going to answer her question before Penn had stalked up to her.

Sighing - "if that's all I'm going to go to bed. All that dancing made me tired and completely exhausted. "

Gemma turned her back on Penn and walked up the stairs feeling Penn's gaze locked onto her retreating back.
