After a half hour passed by Gemma was no closer to moving her body off the hot sand. Her eyes just kept on a cloud in the distance, while birds sang in the background.

No matter how long Gemma thought. Her thoughts always led back to Thea. It made so much sense to her now. Gemma had always thought that the Sirens chose this life. But, hearing Thea explain her story. Gemma didn't know what to believe anymore.

Were the Sirens bad people, or simply just misunderstood?

Waves crashed against each other, and the tide fell over and met the end of Gemma's feet. She needed to swim. Remembering how her swims always helped to ease her mind on difficult things in life.

The water called to her. Feeling the euphoria of her transformation take over. Gemma always looked at herself in awe after transforming. Seeing the tail, that shouldn't even exist in real life.

A sense of calm enveloped her. She closed her eyes being a creature of water she didn't have to breathe to survive under the water.

After each inch Gemma fell. Light became non-existent. It felt freeing to her somehow. Like, the water was comforting her in her time of need. Her thoughts went back to Thea. Gemma couldn't imagine if that had happened to her.

She pictured her father, and sister. How the two of them made her life feel complete. How without them Gemma couldn't possibly survive. Yet, he she was. On another continent, without them, and was slowly loosing herself to the inner pull of her inner siren.

It was hard though. Penn, Lexi, and Thea were compelling creatures. But, also very misunderstood, Gemma guessed. Thea's choice was ripped away from her, so how does she know that it was the same for Penn, and Lexi? She didn't, and that somewhat scared her.

Her body fell deeper, until she could feel the ocean floor against her back. 'This is nice' Gemma thought. Wishing she could be there for all of eternity, where she couldn't lay harm to another soul. She was at peace.

No thoughts of Harper, or Alex. Even Viserys was wiped away, it was just her in the heart of the sea.
