Harper met Alex downstairs.
Her father, Brian had watched the two until they walked out the door.
Harper guessed that he was afraid to loose his other daughter too. The days haven't been easy that's for sure.
"Where do you think Gemma would have gone?" Alex asked, as sons as they were a couple minutes out of the house.
"Honestly, if you told me a week ago that my sister would turn into a fish I would have laughed it off... But, now seeing her room empty; it makes me feel that I won't see her again. " Harper replied her voice filled with sorrow.
"Hey come on Harper. Give yourself some credit." Alex replied, patting her on the back as he continued, "I mean you followed Gemma, you tried to help her. We were late, yes, but I don't think Gemma would want us to forget, or give up on her. Given, if your roles were switched i'm sure Gemma would do everything to find you. "
"Thanks, Alex. Gemma really lucky to have a man like you. She loves you, you know?"
"I know. I love her too. Which means we can't give up. " Harper nodded in agreement.
"Well for starters I think we should brief up on our mythology. Maybe, reading some lore will help us to find what kind of climate they usually look for, and how they operate while in the sea. " Harper said , convincingly.
"Sounds like a lot of reading. " Alex complained.
"You bet. " Harper expressed, as Alex sighed.
He just wanted to see Gemma.
He often wondered what Gemma was doing.
He followed Harper in content, having motivation that would eventually lead him to the girl that was lost to him.

"Did you find anything yet?"
"I'm not going to find anything if you keep on asking. "
"There's nothing here."
"If you actually read you would know that Sirens have been known to pick sunny locations, and would prefer the sea over land. "
"That's common knowledge though. "
Harper sighed. She didn't want to admit that Alex was right, and they were waiting precious time.
Her phone vibrated from beside her. A text from Daniel?
Any luck?
She texted...No.
Be there in 10. He texted back.
"Was that Daniel?"
"Yeah, he'll be here soon. " Harper expressed.
Closing the book, her eyes scouting the next book that talked about mythology.
Harper wished that Gemma still had her phone.
But, apparently she was too preoccupied to remember her phone. It would make searching for her much easier.
Although, Harper thought how the Sirens would act around Gemma, they did force her to become a Siren like them, hadn't they?
Or, did Gemma decide that she wanted to be apart of them?
She wasn't sure, but the mere thought frightened Harper.
She just wanted to find her sister, to be with her and tell her that leaving wasn't her fault. That she could come back home.
