Hey everyone! If you're seeing this, it either means that you've either had my story in your library for close to a thousand years, or you've recently started reading. Either way, I'm really glad you're reading this because I have a special announcement. Even though I haven't really been that active here on Wattpad, I have been writing a lot and developed two new story concepts I'm just not ready to post yet, along with SLOWLY updating and working on my other fanfics.
It's crazy to me that it's actually been almost two and a half years since I started drafting Chasing Jacob. I'm less than a month away from my high school graduation and committed to an incredible school for creative writing (and something else but I don't know what yet). This story is honestly one of the reasons I chose creative writing as a major. The support I got while I was writing and the support I'm still getting two years later blows me away. I'm super thankful.
That being said I've had quite a few comments about people who have read this story more than once saying that they love it or it helped them in one way or another. It got me thinking that maybe I should try to reach a larger audience with this. While Jacob has an ever-growing fanbase that I'm sure will never die out, fanfiction definitely isn't as popular anymore and I'm ready to branch out. I'm a mostly fanfic writer on here, but I do so much more, so I've officially decided to relaunch Chasing Jacob as a teen fiction novel.
The basic concept and plot will still be the same. Nearly all of the names have been changed and I'm hoping to put a more mature voice into it. Jacob won't be a singer anymore, his character Greyson is chasing a different artistic dream. The new rewrite is called Chasing Greyson. Original, right? I'm really excited to try and bring this story to a new and hopefully larger audience so I can help people the same way Chasing Jacob has helped so many of you.
