After several rounds of Would You Rather and Truth or Dare, they all decided that they wanted to watch another movie, so Julia plugged one into her DVD player and they all got ready to watch it. I curled up under Julia's covers and decided to try and sleep. It was nearly 4 in the morning and I'd had enough of everything for the day.

Everyone laid on Julia's bed and I was on the end next to Jacob. "Are you going to sleep already?" He asked me.

I shrugged as I sank deeper into the pillows and Dakota forwarded through the previews. "Maybe. I'm sleepy. It's 4 in the morning."

Jacob smiled warmly at me and found my hand under the blankets like Dakota had during Paranormal Activity. I looked up at him weird and he raised his eyebrows. "What? Dakota did it."

I fell asleep with Jacob's hand in mine and woke a few hours later. It was still early and the sun was barely up, but I'd dreamed of actually doing it. I wrote out the suicide note and left it under my pillow. I sat straight up and looked around the room.

Dakota and Jacob were passed out on the floor and Julia was sound asleep next to me. I pulled my phone out of my sweatpants pocket. I had three texts from Josh asking periodically if I was okay the night before. The last message he sent was at 2 and it was a little before 6. I texted him back. "I had a really bad dream. I want to talk to you about it. Can you pick me up instead of mom?"

He replied in minutes, which surprised me because I figured he'd be asleep. "What do you mean a bad dream? When do you want me to come?"

I glanced down at Dakota and Jacob. They both looked so cute and relaxed in their sleep with their mouths hanging open and soft snores coming out. I wondered what they would think if my dream actually happened. Would they be upset? I imagined that they would, but somedays I wondered.

If it had been a few months earlier, I wouldn't have questioned it all, but now I thought twice. I knew Dakota would care because he knew my secret and he seemed so worried about it, but Jacob had Emily now. He had music and his growing fan base. I could be replaced by him so easily.

"It was about stuff the kind of but didn't really talk about at the park with Ryan. I don't want that, but if I'm dreaming about it, I don't know. Maybe talking will help. I don't want to have to do it, but it's all I can think about now..." I typed back to Josh.

There was a long pause before he responded. "Get dressed. I'll be over in ten. We'll grab some breakfast."

"But they'll get suspicious! They're all sleeping. I don't want to wake them up."

I could sense the urgency in Josh's text when he responded. "You being okay is more important. I'm about to leave."

I groaned quietly and climbed off the bed before I walked over to my bag. I pulled a t-shirt out and put it over my tank top and quietly changed into shorts from my sweatpants. I pulled my hair into a ponytail in the mirror and stepped over the boys and sprayed on some of Julia's perfume. I climbed back over them and gently shook Julia's shoulder.

"Hey," I whispered. "Josh is coming to get me. I have to leave early."

She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Why? It's so early."

I shrugged. "He just said I have to go. He should be here in a couple minutes."

She looked down and pointed to the boys. "Are you gonna wake them up?"

"Nah. I'll see them at school Monday."

She stood and walked me downstairs to her door where we waited. "You're going to be okay, right? We'll figure out how to make you happy too."
