I looked back after a minute of cooking to find Nao standing around awkwardly, glancing at the masks on Kakuzu's back. He turned his head to her and she gasped, running to me. I laughed and patted her head as she clung to my leg.

"It's just Kakuzu." I told her. She looked at me and then back at the mask-less, shirtless Kakuzu. It hadn't really occurred to me before that half the guys didn't wear shirts to breakfast. I guess being around Hidan does that to you.

"It is?" She asked shakily.

"Yeah, he just doesn't have his mask on. Look at his eyes. Go see." I told her and nudged her far in his direction. I cracked eggs into a bowl for French toast while watching her.

She took careful and hesitant steps in his direction, while everyone watched her. She stopped a distance from Kakuzu's chair and leaned forward, squinting her eyes at him. Getting fed up with her attempt to identify him, Kakuzu reached over and pulled her up onto his lap. She squealed and put both hands on his chest, pushing back to looked at him. She seemed to realize it really was him.

"Oh," She said quietly and turned around in his lap, facing Deidara.

"Where'd you get the runt?" He asked Kakuzu. "She kind of looks like you...or maybe more like..." He trailed off and I could feel him staring at my back.

"Are we really going to do this?" I questioned, throwing a quick look over my shoulder. "It's impossible because I wasn't even here for it to happen. She's my half sister. I took her after the mission because she didn't have anywhere to go." I told him, which I would tell a million other people today. Well, I wouldn't tell Itachi because he never asks. He'll just sit there and pretend she isn't there and then eventually catch on to what's going on.

Kisame was the next one in, followed by Itachi. "The mission was no challenge I'm guessing." He said and leaned against the counter next to me.

"Please, the bounty office was more dangerous." I said and dropped another piece of soggy bread on the skillet.

Kakuzu pushed in between us and nearly took Kisame's head off with the cabinet door all for a glass.

"Kakuzu! What's your problem? I would have gotten that just like every other day." I told him in irritation. Not only had he nearly taken Kisame's head off and interrupted our conversation, but he was at high risk of getting hit with popping grease from the sausage.

He reached over me, nearly taking the sausage to the ground. I grabbed the handle with one hand and snatched Kakuzu's glass away with the other.

"Sit down! Both of you." I told Kisame and Kakuzu just in time for Pein and Konan to walk in.

Kakuzu grabbed the top of the glass, but I didn't let go. "I don't take orders from you." He growled and squeezed the glass until it popped, leaving us both with minor cuts. Mine were nothing more than a Band-Aid's job but they stung. I ignore him, going back to my cooking and letting Kisame take care of the blood running down my hand. Kakuzu mended his himself.

Everyone argued and talked behind me and I ignored nearly every question shot at me unless it was from Nao, Chiya, or Konan. Tobi was oddly enough the last one in and took an immediate liking to Nao after squeezing the breath out of me. I passed out everyone's food and sat down at the end next to Maeko and Chiya.

Kakuzu is so confusing. He makes me feel bi-polar. At first he's perfectly fine to be around and then he just freaks out for no good reason. He's so tightly wound and every time he snaps everyone gets hit by the recoil.

"How is Nao doing here?"Pein asked me, though he could have just looked at her to get his answer. She was sitting on Kakuzu's lap, happily shoveling her French toast into her mouth.
