"No I'm not." I caught Juryoku as it fell and Hidan and Kakuzu landed behind me.
"Etsuko?" She said shakily and stood up.
"It took you long enough. I personally thought you would have known the whole time." She glanced behind me as I spoke.
"Hidan..."She looked at me again. "I thought you were both dead." She said and came closer to me. I drew Juryoku and pointed it at her. She stopped.
"You knew we weren't dead. I was caught you with Ginkaku before father was even killed. I knew what was going on and I'll never forgive you. I watched you leave with him." That made her drop the façade.
"You're just like your father." I wasn't going to wait for her to tell me why.
"Good, I'm glad." I stared down my blade at her. "Now, I've come here to kill you and your beloved has a large bounty on his head doesn't he? And a strong heart?" She stared at me in horror. "Kakuzu will be taking both of those I believe." I told her.
"You can't kill me! You wouldn't dare!" She went to go on, but there was really no point.
"Oh, wouldn't I? I killed grandmother when I went back to Yugakure because she turned me into a monster. Maeko became a Jashinist recently because of Hidan and I killed her simply because she is an incredibly ignorant and infuriating young girl. Now tell me, why shouldn't I kill you?" I tested.
"Do you think you know everything about yourself; what you can do? If you kill me you'll never know." She pressed. My mother was a stupid woman. "If you kill me you won't know things like the fact that you'll never die of old age. You won't age a day past twenty because my kekkei genkai won't allow it. Everyone you love will die and you'll suffer alone." She told me. I was surprised at this information, but didn't show it.
"I don't believe I will mother. Take the time to notice the two people behind me. Kakuzu can't die of old age either. He's in his late eighties and doesn't look much older than twenty either. Hidan is immortal and now so is Maeko. So you see mother, I won't suffer alone." I told her just for the satisfaction of proving her wrong. "Now, is that all?" I saw the panic in her eyes.
"That's what I thought." I said before effortlessly driving Juryoku through her stomach just like I had my other family members. They were weak.
When that was over and we walked back to my mother's house I started feeling better. I petted Hero as we walked and he licked my hand. I didn't want to go watch Kakuzu kill Ginkaku. I wanted to play with Hero and get ice cream. Swimming would be fun too.
When we got to my mother's house we were immediately greeted by yelling. It was a man's voice this time, mixed with a small one that I knew was Nao apologizing. Then he started hitting her and all the happiness drained from me. Kakuzu opened the door and we walked in unnoticed until the door shut behind us.
Kakuzu knocked Ginkaku into the next room and their battle began. Hidan couldn't contain himself so he jumped in. I saw Nao, my half sister, sitting on the floor of the kitchen staring in horror as the fight progressed. Her arms and face were bruised and blood trickled down her mouth.
"Nao." I crouched down to be closer to her level though I was across the room. She gave me a horrified look. "It's okay, I just want to help. Come here...hurry." I said as I realized the boys wouldn't be long. Hero wagged his tail next to me and must have made me look friendlier.
