Chiya was crying and standing away from the table. There was blood on her kimono and the chair she had been sitting on. At first I thought she was hurt, because, well, that made the most sense, but then I caught the guy's disturbed expressions.
"Oh." I mumbled and got a hold of Chiya. "It's okay sweetie." I assured her gently and looked to Maeko. "Would you please clean that up?" I didn't wait for her reaction before nudging Chiya out of the kitchen.
I ushered her into Hidan's bathroom before he could protest or see why it was necessary.
"I'm sorry." Chiya apologized shakily as I helped her get her kimono off and started a shower for her.
"You don't have to apologize Chiya. It happens." I said and dried my hand off after checking the water temperature. "I'll be right back, okay? Take your time." I squeezed her shoulder and left the bathroom.
"What was that Etsuko-chan?" Tobi asked as I found Chiya's bag upstairs. "Is Chiya-chan okay?" He sounded so concerned.
"Chiya's fine Tobi, it's nothing to worry about." I assured him without giving a real answer and rushed back downstairs. For the next two hours, Chiya and I sat and had girl talk before I even got to eat anything. Then, after I ate, I had to wash all our clothes and then finally get dressed. I was wired from the nonstop movement of the day.
I walked down the hall with Kisame's shirt in hand. His door was cracked open and I peeked inside to make sure it was safe. He looked up at me from the floor and I gave him a small smile.
"I just came to-." I held out the shirt and he snatched it out of my grasp, throwing it across the room before I could even finish the sentence.
"Help me with something." He ordered and gestured me forward. "Sit on my back." I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Why?" I questioned.
"I need more weight." He answered. I sighed and did as I was told.
"You know, you really shouldn't mention weight around girls. We're self conscious and it's a huge turn off." I informed him and crossed my arms, feeling like Jasmine on a big blue carpet...or the genie. You know, 'cause he's blue.
"What's a turn on then?" He asked, which I guess I should have seen coming. He may be sharky, but he's still a guy.
"Well, let's see now. This," I said and poked his stomach muscles as he came up from the ground. "And this," I added and poked his bicep. "And this," I poked a back muscle. "And guys who can do push-ups with girls on their backs." I realized then that I could easily have summed that up.
"Okay, visible strength in general is a turn on for many subconscious reasons. It is programmed into a female's genes over the course of evolution what is needed in a good mate. Strength and intelligence are the main factors because the female and her offspring need to be protected." I answered in the most unnecessarily professional way. I'm so full of useless information.
Kisame laughed. "Alright, what else?" He prodded.
"Well, horror movies turn girls on faster than porn, which I only know because I spend way too much time with guys. Well, I did before...before things got seriously confusing." I stated.
"And how does that work?" I was rather enjoying the conversation.
"I think it has to do with adrenaline, but I'm not sure." I answered and it was silent for a moment.
"How's Chiya holding up?" He asked, which surprised me. There were a million other topics we could have discussed, but he chose that one.
