"What you're reading isn't even fiction, Etsuko. There's no one to pretend you are." He pointed out.

"No, but it's historical and I find it very interesting. Also, I don't see any problem with my reading." I kind of felt like kicking him for being annoying. There couldn't really be too much harm in that. He's tough, he can take it.

"Etsuko." I looked up to see Kakuzu and Hidan-who I still wasn't talking to-in the doorway. "Leader wants to see us." I returned my eyes to the book and hopped off of Kisame. I bent down and ruffled his hair roughly, forcing him down onto the ground before I left.

Hidan complained about my reading as we walked the halls to Leader's office. I ignored him and he didn't dare lay a hand on the book because both Kakuzu and I would have diced him and thrown the bits of Hidan into a lake.

"You wanted to see us." Hidan said grumpily as we entered Leaders office.

"Yes, the three of you will be sent out on a mission today." He made eye contact with me. "The mission is to eliminate Takeda of Kumogakure, formerly known as Takeda Inoue." My mother.

"Good, what is our purpose for eliminating her?" I asked, already more than ready to carry out the mission.

"The man she ran from Yugakure with was Ginkaku, who is a known criminal of Kumogakure. He is of no use to us and now that the Akatsuki is in possession of the Inoue kekkei genkai your mother stands in the way. If she were to find out you lived she would come looking for you and have a very good chance of finding the Akatsuki base. I can't let that happen. You are to eliminate both Takeda and Ginkaku." He informed us.

"Yes sir." The three of us said and nodded.

"You will depart immediately." With that we were gone. I said goodbye to Maeko, Chiya, and Kisame, grabbed Hero, and we left.

Even though I told the girls that Hero was their responsibility he seems to be more attached to me and Tobi. He's gotten bigger even though he's still a puppy and we have trained him to fight. He's a better fighter than Chiya is which is just a little sad. However, Chiya is a phenomenal healer.

"You don't seem bothered by the mission." Kakuzu noted after a few hours.

"Not at all. Before the two of you found us in Yugakure that was where we were headed." I gave Kakuzu and Hidan a serious look. "I'm killing my mother. She will suffer for running and leaving my sisters and me to fend for ourselves." I told them.

"That's fine as long as I get Ginkaku's heart. You damaged one of mine during our match." Kakuzu wagered.

"Well what the hell am I getting out of this?" Hidan complained loudly.

"There is a Jashinist temple in Kumogakure. So I suppose you can do whatever you want there." I told him and appeared to get a good enough reaction out of him. Despite his loud mouth and constant urge to pick fights travel wasn't as bad as it was with Maeko and Chiya. We didn't have to stop constantly.

We picked up a few bounties on the way to Kumogakure, which pleased Kakuzu. He got his money, Hidan got some sacrifices, and I got to release the tension from not killing anyone. Traveling was actually nice with Hidan and Kakuzu. For the first time in a while nothing was nagging at the back of my mind. They made me forget.

We arrived in Kumogakure around morning. Everyone was milling about and all that was left to do was hunt down my mother. She was the most important part of this mission so we looked for her first.

"I'm tired of fucking walking and I'm hungry." Hidan complained for the sake of complaining. He was worse than a woman. He didn't know how to shut up and if there wasn't anything to complain about by god he would find one.
