BRITTANIE

....6 months later....

The bags dropped from my hands as I ran across the house to the nearest bathroom. The door slammed back and I dropped my body to the cold floor. I heaved over into the toilet gripping both sides for stability; vomit came pouring out of my body profusely. My eyes teared from the heaving and I began to whine from the pain and taste in my mouth. After about 5 minutes, I felt I was okay enough to stand. I flushed the toilet twice and cleaned my mouth out with water from the faucet.

I picked my shopping bags up from the entrance floor and made my way to my bedroom. I threw the bags on the cream covered bed and went in the bathroom to brush my teeth. I was out shopping with some girlfriends and I suddenly started to feel a bit dizzy. We departed ways and on the drive home, I felt like I would pass out at the wheel. It must be something I ate or maybe I am dehydrated. I don't know, but I felt horrible. I opened the bags and began to put away all the clothes and goodies I brought today in the mall. Three shirts, four dresses, four pairs of shoes and a shit-load of accessories. My phone vibrated and I opened it to see it was Natalie texting me from Germany. She was dating Georg; and like me, moved away from her home to be with him. We talk, text and skype a lot. I think she has it a lot harder than I do; I mean, at least I can understand everyone here. She is in a foreign country and cannot speak an ounce of German.

Tom and Bill were with the band doing Press all over Europe. I talked to Tom on yesterday and they were in Barcelona, Spain doing radio shows and interviews. The two new singles from their album "Fragments of Love" were doing exceptionally well. My favorite song of course was track number eleven, "Sand & Honey". Tom wrote the song for me a few months back as a love poem when they were away in Australia. I loved it so much that I sent it back with a hook and a chorus. Bill right away wanted to use it but Tom was a bit skeptical. He didn't want to start up the threats and attacks again. We were all still shaken up from that ordeal. The poem was originally titled, "Bonnie", but Tom thought that would be too much for the fans to handle. So instead, he named it "Sand & Honey", which were for the color of my eyes and my skin. Of course, when the album releases, people will know it is about me. The fans are always ready to speculate and are right most of the time. The song starts with Bill's beautiful melodic voice over Tom's guitar playing, the bass plays a deep rift and the drums hum in the background tying it all together. The song has a jazz feel to it and although I am interested in how the fans will feel about this completely different sound, I know nothing anyone could say would make me love it less.

All the clothes were away and I quickly responded to Natalie. I picked up the stuffed bear from the floor and sat it on the lounge chair. Scotty and Pumba, Tom and Bill's dogs, were traveling with the band. I drew back the curtains, pulled out my pink glittered MacBook laptop and sat legs crossed on the bed waiting. Tom, who was in a time zone nine hours ahead of me, would be skyping me any minute. It was only 1 p.m. here in Los Angeles and 10 p.m. there in Spain. A box appeared on my screen and a second later, there was Tom. Gorgeous and smiling.

"BABY!" he called through the screen. "I miss you so much. Today was a lot of fun."

"I miss you too," I said smiling into the screen at him. He had his hair down under a baseball cap and his smile was beaming at me. "That's awesome. What did you guys do? How were the interviews?"

"Everything was great, just long. We had a very early day. From the hotel we are at to the interviews, fans were everywhere. They all are so excited to hear the new album and listen to all the songs. One venue was a uh, television show and it was filled with fans and people everywhere. They played a snippet of "Falling Skies" and everyone loved it. The fans were going crazy from the music and us. It was all just great. I'm so excited." Tom covered his eyes and squealed in happiness.
