'There's a thyme and a plaice -
but better tarragon and trout.
Take a bite of life
never spit it out.'Old, extremely fishy saying.
The Plaice
The plaice, the plaice,
oh, 'ware the plaice;
how fishy does it hover -
and how one eye has traveled wide -
fetched up too near the other.It is indeed a flat, flat fish
and on the bottom feeds,
as others have described 'afore
in books of fishy deeds.The plaice, the plaice!
Don't wear the plaice -
a garment not so sweet;
requiring ice under the sun,
it'll freeze more than your feet.
