Just a Little While Longer || An anime love story

Chapter 6

     Ayato takes me to this 'date' and when we got there, I looked so surprised. "Whoa, I haven't been in an amusement park for so long." I said. "Yeah I know, you used to love it so much when you were little. Come on, let's get our tickets and go." He said and tugs on my hand, leading me to the ticket place.

     "You know, I wanna see your smile." He says as we walk. "It was cute back then, it'll probably be cute now too." He continues. "Um, shouldn't you let go? I mean what if people from school sees and they'll think the wrong way of us? Not as friends." I said going on a different topic.

     "So what, let them see. I confessed to you after all." He says."Ayato, you don't get it do you? Those girls like you." I said. "And I like you. Come on, just a little while longer, then I'll let go." He tugs on me again. "Roller coaster! Let's go!" He exclaims when he saw the ride and we started running in line.

     We started going on other different rides and it got really fun. Our last ride of course had to be the Ferris wheel. "It's cool, I never imagined a date to be this much fun." I said. "You don't know anything about dating." He tells me as he scoffs.

     "Hey, how was your last girlfriend like?" I asked. "Her name was...Yuki right?" I guessed. "Yeah. She was a bit desperate. Maybe too desperate." He said. "Then why did you went out with her? Didn't you say you hated desperate girls?" I asked.

     "I know but I thought it might be fun to change a bit. So I went out with her just for fun." He said. "Girls have feelings Ayato, stop playing around with them. You better not play around with mine either." I told him. "Come on, I wouldn't want to lose my best friend." He smiles.

     "Okay, so you were a playboy. And now you want to settle to just one girl. Why me?" I wondered. "Other than you being cute and all, you have a cute heart too. You're hard working, you never give up, and I realized my feelings when we first started this school year, I just waited for the right moment. I realized that I wanted to stay by your side and protect and the thought of someone else making you happy hurts me. So I want to give you your first smile, and I'll protect that smile." He smiled.

     I ended up blushing a bit. No one else told me something like that before. "Thank you for bringing me here although it was more of a punishment." I smile inside and he knew that. "Heh. Glad you had fun." He smiled patting my head. We got off and he grabbed my hand. "Ayato—"

"Just a little while longer. I still wanna be with you." He said holding my hand.

The next day at school, I saw Jun walking and I walked up to him. "Oh my gosh Jun, I'm so sorry about yesterday, Ayato just grabbed me away. Are you going to be fine?" I asked. "If I fail, it's gonna be your fault." He said. "Excuse me? -.-' "

"You obviously didn't help me so it's gonna be your fault if I fail. See ya. Gotta take the freaking damn test." And with that, he walked away.

Arisa comes up to me. "Hey, have you seen Takuma?" She asked. "Oh, sure, let's talk about Takuma every time we're together." I said sarcastically. "Sorry. I'm just—I'm sorry! Look, if you get a boyfriend then you'll know how it feels like." She said. "Apparently I don't." I told her.

"That's why you should." Arisa says. "Let's just go to class, he's probably there." I said and we started walking towards our classroom.

When we got there, we hear girls asking questions to Ayato. "Ayato, who was the girl you went on a date with?" They ask. "What?" Me and Arisa asked. Some girls turned to us. "Shay, you didn't know? Some girls caught Ayato-kun and a girl on a date at an amusement park. They saw Ayato-kun but didn't saw the girl's face." They explained. Arisa quickly turns to me and I look away.

"Ayato-kun, it was the girl you confessed to on the field trip right?" One asked. "Yup." He answered making eye contact with me. That jerk. I glare at him like I'm pouting a bit then Arisa suddenly brings me to a corner. "You and Ayato-kun went on a date yesterday?" She asked quietly. "Uh...well, I was more forced into it so—"

"You still went on the date!" She yells quietly. "I know, I know but—"

"I'm so proud of you!" She smiled. "Wait, what? Aren't you mad?" I asked confused. "Why would I be mad? My best friend went on a date with her crush—"

"Okay, that is not my crush—" -_-'

"You don't know that though." She cuts me off. ^.^ "Come on, I know you do, it's like saying you just don't want to admit it you know? Ayato-kun is great guy and you two go perfect for each other, you've known each other for so long, more than anyone else, he knows you more than me too so—"

"What are you guys doing?" Sensei asked as he came in. "Nothing." We lied and went to our seats. "Okay, everyone take their seats! Enough talking, it's school time." He says and everyone stopped talking and went back to their seats.

As I'm sitting there, mostly everything about Ayato come to mind.
'I like you.'
'I'll protect that smile.'
'It's like saying you don't want to admit it.'
'Doesn't that mean you already like him?'
'I'll wait.'
'Just a little while longer.'

Oh my gosh, stop it, stop it, stop it!

After school, Ayato comes up to me in my classroom. "Let's walk home together." He said. "Oh actually, I have to stay and work on the school party." I told him. "Fine then I'll wait."

"You'll be waiting very long." I said. "Oh well, I have to wait longer for your answer anyways." He quickly kisses my cheek and ran away leaving me blushing and speechless . >\\< ba dum 💗

"What was that...?" I asked feeling my heart and it's beating faster than usual. "Doesn't this means—no it doesn't. But in dramas—oh my gosh stop!" I cover my ears and shaking my head. "I don't like him, I don't like him." And I end up repeating that over and over again.
