So that's how summer vacation ended, everyone had a great time and now it's back to school. I usually wake up on my own to go to school but today, I ended up waking up a bit late. Gasping, I quickly ran to get on my uniform, brush my hair and teeth, put on my socks and shoes then ran out of the door after getting my bag. I'm gonna be late, I just know it!
Sure enough, when I got there, the opening ceremony had already started. After all those speeches from the principal, we were finally released to go to our homerooms. I went to look at the board and saw that I was still in class 2-2. I smiled and kept looking. Let's see, ooh, Arisa! And Takuma too! Hmm, wait, no Ayato? What?
"Shay!" I heard a familiar voice called. Looking back, the voice belonged to Arisa. She was coming with Takuma and Ayato. "Sup. Whose classes are we in?" Takuma asks. "You, me and Arisa are still in the same class. But Ayato, you're in a different class this year." I looked at him sadly. "Oh, I see. Well, there's nothing to do about that." He answers. But I really wanted to be in the same class as him though! Seeing me pout, Ayato pats my head. "It's okay, I won't go flirting with those girls."
"Don't worry Shay." I heard another familiar voice call. We turned around and saw Yui-Senpai coming, along with Ryo. "We'll look after this idiot." She smiles. "Senpai! Ryo! Thank you." I beamed. "Geez, you didn't even trust me?" Ayato looks away tiredly. "Ah, come on! We gotta go to class." Arisa suddenly sighs and pulled me over to go to class. "Bye you guys! See you at lunch!" She smiles and dragged me away.
In class, we had the old sensei still and some new faces too. First day of school, you always have to introduce yourselves so here we go. "Class rep, why don't you start it off?" Sensei says. No one seemed to got up and I was starting to wonder why. "Shay! Class rep?" Sensei calls. My eyes widened. "I'm class rep again?" Sensei nodded. "The teachers thought you'd be a good rep for the class so yeah. Now get up." He orders me so I had no choice but to start. "I'm Akira Shay and I'm hoping to become a pastry chef." I announced. "Easy with the food Shay." A guy whose name is Yamato from last year laughs. "I don't eat as much as you do." I told him and his friends started snickering in agreement. "Let's not have a fight here. Next." Sensei says gesturing me to sit down.
"Oh, I'm Kai Harumi and I'm also hoping to become a pastry chef." The girl smiled. Harumi? I gasp quietly. No way. "I'm Ai Arisa! And I'm hoping to become a hairstylist!" Arisa announced cheerfully with a big grin. "I-I'm Hiro T-Tsubaki, a-an I'm hoping to also, become a hairstylist." A girl said. She seems shy and I can also see glares from other girls around her as she sat back down uncomfortably. What the?
"Také Takeshi, pro basketball player." The guy who sits next to me says. I feel like I know that boy...imagination? Maybe.

Lunch finally came and I quickly went to buy some food. Coming up the stairs, I was carrying many food in my hand for both me and Arisa when I'm suddenly met up with Yamato and his friends. "Well look at you. It seems you actually eat a lot." He laughs. I gave him a mad glare. "This isn't just for me, you moron! It's also for Arisa!" I yell. "Awfully a lot for two people don't you think?" He says then they all started laughing. Pissing me off, I kick Yamato down the stairs and ran away laughing.
"Yah, Yamato is so freaking rude! He thought that I was going to eat this all by myself." I complain to Arisa when I got back. "You actually were weren't you?" She raises her brow and I smiled cheekily. 😅 But then my smile faded when I saw something outside. Tsubaki was sitting outside alone and eating her lunch. Arisa saw me and looked at what I was looking at. "I'm gonna go check on her. It's a prez job anyways to help the ones in need." I tell her as I'm getting up. "I'll go with you." She offered. I stop and turned back. "No, watch the food, I don't wanna carry them and make the wrong impression of those idiots."
"If I stay, they'll get the wrong impression." She argues. I sigh and just went along with it as we carried our food down outside. "Tsubaki!" I smiled. Tsubaki looked over and saw me and Arisa waving at her and she faked a smile. "We should hang out." I tell her then her smile turned real this time as we sat next to her. "So you wanted to be a hairstylist?" Arisa asks. Tsubaki nodded. "I only just decided when my mom suggested it to me."
"Really? I only just decided when Shay suggested it to me. Wow. Here, have some." Arisa smiles, giving some snacks of mine to Tsubaki. "A-Are you sure?" Tsubaki asked hesitantly. "Don't worry, Shay was going to eat this all by herself so why not?" She smiles and gave me that cheeky look. "I was going to share with you too!" I protested. "Sike, you planned on eating it all by yourself, that's what you told me in the classroom idiot." She argues. Me and her started arguing then heard Tsubaki laugh and we turned to her surprised. "You guys, are really funny. I haven't laughed in a while." She tells us and we looked at her stun. "Let's be friends then." I suggested. She looked at me surprised. "Then we can make you laugh all the time." Arisa adds. There was a long silence then Tsubaki smiled with some tears. I'm guessing she felt touch.
"Thank you. I'll be happy to become friends with you guys." She cries and me and Arisa smiled at her. "Hey, got anyone you like? Heh, I've always wanted a girl talk." Tsubaki asks after wiping her tears away. "Actually, we're already dating so you can say that." Arisa answered. "Really? Who?" Tsubaki looked at us with curiosity in her eyes. "I'm dating Takuma-kun, and she's dating Ayato-kun, another boy from here, he's the school basketball star here." Arisa says.
"Wow, that's awesome." She beamed excitedly. "And what you Tsubaki-chan?" I asked. She turned with a bit of blush. "I don't think I like anyone, and I don't think they'll like me back." She looks sadly. "Tsubaki, why were those girls glaring at you?" I asked. She gave a long pause but ended up saying some words. "That's just how they are. They don't like me because I'm poor."
"What?!" Me and Arisa said in unison, stunned. "Don't hang with girls like that. That's just rude. If they find out I'm also poor, they'll probably not like me too." I sighed. "Just stick with us Tsubaki-chan. You'll be fine if you've got us." Arisa adds. Tsubaki starts crying again. "Thank you. Thank you so much."
"Shay? Is that you?" I heard a voice called. Harumi was walking towards me and Arisa quickly wraps her arm around Tsubaki so that she wouldn't see that. "H-Harumi! You remember me?" I asked quickly standing up to greet her. "Of course I do. I wouldn't forget Ayato's best friend." She smiles. My smile faded from the inside when she said that but I placed a fake smile in front of her. "It's nice to see you again." I smiled. "Hey, speaking of Ayato-kun, he's still in this school right?" She asks and I nodded. "Oh really? Where is he? I wanna say hi after a long time." She says. "Uh, he should be—right there." I pointed when I saw Ayato coming this way. She smiled and thank me then walked to Ayato. Not wanting to see him with her, I quickly grab Arisa and Tsubaki's arms and pulled them along with me, running away.
"Yah Shay! What the heck?!" Arisa complains, catching her breath. "Is that the girl from his past that Haru was talking about?" She asks looking serious this time. "I think so. Wow that was fast." I sighed. "Ooh, you're in trouble girl." She said sucking her teeth and shaking her head. I sigh sadly. "I know."

After school, Yui-senpai suddenly came to visit us. "Hey Shay, Ayato says he can't walk you home today. Basketball practice. Oh and don't worry, he hasn't flirted with any girl yet." She smiles. "Oh, thanks senpai." I thanked. She nods then left. "Hey, isn't Harumi in the girls basketball? And those teams usually are always together." Arisa says after hearing what Yui had said. I quickly slapped her head. "It doesn't matter, I have to have trust in Ayato-kun. Besides, I still got prez stuff to do. So go on without me." I said and smiled towards Tsubaki. "We'll see ya." I waved as I'm heading off for the president council's room.
