"Whoa! Okay, what happened?!" Arisa asked as she saw my scars. "Heh you know." I said. "No, I don't know. What did you do to yourself? Don't tell me prez got in a fight." She guessed. "No, books and library shelves fell on me." I lied to Arisa as well.
"Okay, I've seen you getting pushed down by so many shelves before, I don't know if Ayato did but them scars would not look like that if that happened. Now tell me the truth." She demanded. "Okay fine, some girls was fighting me, I didn't fought back, one of them was Ayato's ex and yeah. You can not tell Ayato this! Please! If he finds out and does something about it, it'll get worse. They even forced me to break up with him, if he knows, I'll probably be in my death bed the next time." I frown explaining the truth.
"Shay...Look, I know it'll be hard but, if you keep this up, it's really gonna get worse. Ayato-kun is suppose to be there to protect you. But I get your situation, I wouldn't want to tell Takuma-kun either." Arisa sighs. "So what are you gonna do? They're gonna try to break you two up." She asks me.
"I don't know. Just a little while longer." I tell her. "Just a little while longer? Yeah okay. And next time, I'll never leave you alone got it? Because we're besties and besties stick together, if you get hurt, I get hurt." She tells me. I smile at her. "Thank you Arisa."
"Shay! Shay you have to help me with this." Yui-senpai calls out to me the next day. "The mid-terms are coming up and I might fail. And I don't usually have time after school because I have to take care of my little sisters. Can you tutor me during study hall the following days?" She asked. "Us too, please Shay." Others ask.
I smile. "Yeah of course."I nodded. "Thank you Shay-chan!" They smile. "See you at study hall!" Yui-senpai says as they leave. I smile and wave. "She's nice and cute. No wonder Ayato chose her." I hear her whisper to the girls. "Unlike his other exs."
"What are you talking about? You're his ex too." A girl said. "I know but we didn't match so I'm fine with it. Shay's like a little sister to me." Yui-senpai said and they disappeared. I smile to myself overhearing their conversation. "Shay, looks like you're still with Ayato-kun huh?" A voice says and I turn around and see Hana.
"I'll give you a warning. If you don't—"
"Shay! The teacher wants you! No time to talk, let's go!" Arisa comes cutting off Hana on purpose as she grabs my arm and took me away. "Gosh, thanks Arisa. Did the teachers really call me?" I asked relieved I got away. "Luckily yes. I don't like lying. Let's go. I don't want you alone." She says as we walked. "Heh, you're like my mother. Although she's more stricter and I don't actually know if she would care as much as you but you get what I mean." ^_^'
"Yeah..." Arisa says. "Have you been in touch with your mother?" She asks. "Don't need to. Mom wouldn't really care much. Besides, she's too busy." I told her and she looked at me worriedly. "Don't look like that, I've been through this so many times before. What would I even say to her if I ever talk to her again? It'd be awkward. I didn't wanted to live with her in the first place because I didn't wanted to forget about my real father. Although I don't know him. Some say he's nice, some say he's abusive. Don't know who to believe, but it's fine, I just believe that he was a great father. Come on, let's hurry!" I said pacing up as if trying to avoid the conversation.

When study hall came, a lot of others showed up more than I expected. They seemed great full for my help. It also seem like they were learning more. Arisa stayed with me the whole time and I'm so great full for her help. After school, she left me in the hands of Ayato and went off with Takuma.
"What's with Arisa? She's with you all the time, even when you want to use the bathroom." Ayato suspects. "She's just being Arisa, whatever her reason is, it doesn't really matter. Hey, we should go on another date again, not today but tomorrow or something like that? Tomorrow at the zoo, they're having a show about the Tigers." I suggested. "Fine with me." He replied. "Really? Thanks! I got free tickets so we don't need to buy them." I smiled.
"Hey, has anyone threatened or hurt you since they found out about us in school?" He asked. "Huh?" I turned to him. "No." I lied. "You sure? Cause some exs that I have would seriously be jealous." He said. "If you have no problem then whatever. Just worried about you, in case you lied about the shelves stuff." He said patting my head and moving along. I walk slower behind him feeling so much guilts.
I did lied Ayato-kun, I'm sorry but...Please forgive me...Just a little while longer...~.~ I said to myself sadly. "Hello, you're walking mad slow. My grandma can walk faster than you." He said looking back as he stopped and held out a hand. "Shut up, I was just thinking." I said walking faster and taking his hand as we start walking.
"About what?" He asked. "About what to make for food when I get to my house." I lied. "Idiot, you think about the most un important things." He said sighing. "What? Food is important. You're the idiot here." I protested. "I'm saying that you shouldn't be thinking about that right now." He pats my head.
"You know, there's another thing that changed about you."
"What's that?" He wondered. "You were a player, you wanted to play with every girl's heart, of course you couldn't do it to me cause I would've beaten you." I replied. "Oh really?" He smirks, raising a brow.
"Yes really. And even though you play with those girls, they still like you of course because of your looks. I...I didn't liked you because of your looks although you are good looking but anyways, it's because I know you can change and as your best friend, I wanted to be the first to experience your good changes. You...The way you act, you change in front of girls, but you're the same when it comes to me. And I've seen you struggle through life and made your way up and the way you work at things, it's...nice...And, I like you...just the way you are. You don't need to change in front of me, you're perfect just being yourself." I smiled.
"What was that? A confession? That just suddenly came out." -.-
"You! That took me lots of guts just to tell you that! And I had to chose my words carefully too. Forget it, I take back what I said." I complained frowning. "Heh, just kidding. I like you just the way you are too." He smiles as he pats my head. I frown rolling my eyes. "I mean it, you idiot." He said flicking his fingers on my forehead.
"Ow! You jerk, that hurts!" I pout. He leans over and give me a kiss on my forehead where he flicked it at. "Better?" I pause for 2 seconds then push him away. "Let's go, I'm hungry." I said walking away. "Jeez, is food the only thing that's in your mind?" He says catching up. "Race you to my house!" I said running off. "Hey! You got a head-start!" He said running after me and we raced to my house.
