Once we got to our new house, I stood there in awe as I let my luggages drop. "...Oh my gosh! It's gorgeous!" I exclaim, finally snapping out. Quickly, I grab my bags and ran into the house with Hiro and Sho. "I feel so freaking rich! The living room! The kitchen! Even the bathroom! And it has an upstairs! The stairs looks so freaking awesome!" As I'm exclaiming everywhere, Hiro and Sho just watches me. Finally realizing, I turn my back and look at them confused. "What? Something wrong about being excited about a new house?" 😐
They shake their heads. "Nothing's wrong about that." Hiro states. "It's just...you're way too excited. Okay, tell us what's wrong." Added Sho. Him saying that makes me remember about Arisa on the day of the kimono festival.
"I feel like you're too excited about this. Okay, what's wrong?"
But instead of relenting, I shake my head. "Nothing's wrong, you're just imagining things." That's when I can see each of them having a raised eyebrow. Ugh, there's really no lying to them anyways. Rolling my eyes, I decide to calm down. "You already know what's wrong, it's not like I can fix anything about this though." I shrug. "Oh well." And ran up to stairs before they could stop me.

It's now several days after that day and I'm starting to get used to living here. I got into a new school, made a bit of friends, gotten closer to mom and my step father, and even gotten a little closer to pastry stuff.
"Ooh! Look, look, look! I tasted it and it tastes so freaking good!" I exclaim one day, as everyone comes into the kitchen. "Ooh, looks really delicious." Grandpa compliments. "What's this called?" My step father asks. "It's a Mini Strawberry Napoleons. Go on, try it! Try it!" I gesture them after giving each of them one.
Their eyes widened after taking one bite which meant that it was good. "Yas! Success!" I beam with a fist raised up in front of me.
Ayato's POV
It's been days after what had happened that day and the days has not been working out fine. Was it really true that Shay just found some other guy already? Maybe it's because of this problem going on that she left me...ugh... Sighing, I collapse on my bed, wanting to just disappear from the world. Gosh this is the worst. Disturbing my thoughts, my phone suddenly ring. I pick it up since I've nothing else to do. "What do you want?" I ask in a plain, cold tone.
"Well that's just plain rude. What's up with the tone of voice?" I can hear Takuma replying back from the other end of the line. "You already knows what's up." I sigh tiredly. "Right, right. About that, don't you think something's fishy?" He asks me. I roll my eyes as if I already knew something was wrong. "Duh, I can't just believe something like that would happen all of a sudden. At least that's what I want to believe. Ugh, look man, has Arisa or Tsubaki said anything about her yet?"
"Nope, not a word. They look like they're still depressed over her leaving, I can tell you still are too, locked up in your bedroom. How you doing with Harumi and your father?"
"Ugh, I don't even want to think about it. I don't wanna think about anyone right now. I need to clear my mind off of all of this crap." I sigh. That's when I can hear Mae crying all of a sudden and some knocks on the door telling me that she wants to be comforted. "Gotta go Takuma, see ya." And hang up.
Sighing, I ruffle my hair as I'm heading to open the door for Mae. And there she was, eyes all puffed up with many tears streaming down her tiny face. Seeing me, Mae quickly wraps her arms around me once I had bend down to her, which made me jump a bit backwards.
"I-I miss *hic* Shay!" She cries. I touch the back of her head and stroke it sadly. Mae's been pretty upset lately ever since hearing that Shay and I are officially over and that she left and will never come back. "I know, I know." I whisper softly as I rest my chin on her shoulders. "Don't you miss her too *hic* brother?" She asks in a sad, pouty tone. "Of course I do." I say pulling away gently and looking into her eyes as I'm wiping the tears away. "But Shay's already made her decision and we can't change that."
With those words, Mae jumps back into my arms, crying some more. "I thought you guys were going to stay together forever! *hic* I thought you two would get married someday, *hic* and that Shay would be my sister someday, *hic* but no, Shay's gone!"
I can feel the presence of someone right in front of me. Looking up, it was Mom. She stood there looking sad with her head down once she made eye contact with me. "Ayato-kun" Mae releases me and gave me a serious look in her eyes. "I won't except anyone else as my sister in law, only Shay, so you have to get her back. You have to get big sis back."
There was a silent pause, but I slowly turn my head away from Mae. "I told you...Shay made her decision...we can't change that...she's long gone."
Mae looked more hurt than she did before and ran into Mom's arms by what I had just said. Looking mad and a bit guilty, I close my bedroom door behind me and walked passed them. "I'm going out." I conclude and walked out of the house.
Tsubaki's POV
"We can't keep keeping all this a secret Tsubaki, I want to tell someone about this. I want to tell Ayato-kun about this." Arisa urges me. I shake my head sadly. "We can't, we already told Shay that we wouldn't."
"But I can't stand it no more. The thought of Shay so freaking hurt, and the thought of Ayato-kun so hurt as well." Arisa shakes her head.
"I know what you're saying, but I'm saying this for Shay's sake. If we tell Ayato about this, it's like Shay breaking her promise to Ayato's father. And you know Ayato would want to do something if we tell him."
Arisa went quiet for a few seconds then made an annoyed tone as she plops her head down hard onto the table. Looking at her pitifully, I plop my head down on the table as well and we sigh in annoyance in unison. "But Tsubaki..." Arisa turns her head to me, head still on the table, I turn mine to hers. "Ayato and Harumi doesn't even know the real reason to why Ayato's father is doing all of this. Don't you think that if they did...they'll do something about it?"
"Will they?" 🤔
"Of course they will. Those two don't even wanna get married. If we tell them, I'm sure they'll do something that'll help Ayato's father." She smiles. I quickly gasp. "Finally you're smart!" I exclaim. Her brows quickly furrows. "Excuse me? 'Finally'?"
"I'm just kidding." I laugh as I'm getting up along with her. "Arisa and Tsubaki saving the day!" We exclaim together happily. 😎😏
