Just a Little While Longer || An anime love story

Chapter 14

     "I'm home." -_- I said bluntly, not wanting to come home. "Oh Shay, please go pick up your brothers from the airport, your father and I are busy and grandpa of course isn't good with crowds." Mom said as I walked into the living room.

     Really? I just got back and you're telling me to do things already? Busy? Busy with what, being lazy? I hate crowds too you know and he is not my father for the last time! And he'll never be a father to me. I do not want to go!!! -_-

     ^_^ "Yeah sure mom." I fake a smile and started leaving. "Oh my gosh." I rolled my eyes. "What a life."

     When I got to the airport, of course, it's mad crowded here. Great, how many hours to wait until they arrive? You know what, I don't care. I sat in a chair and waited for my brothers to arrive.

     Twenty minutes past and yet they still haven't arrived. Suddenly, I see a crowd of girls squealing.

     "Ooh, what's your names?" ........

     "Hiro? Sho? Aww!"

     "Cute names!"

     Hiro? Sho? I gasp. That's my bros! I quickly got out of my seats and went towards the crowd. Great, just great. "Hey um, can I get through?" I asked.

     "No way, I saw them first." Someone rudely says pushing me. "You, ugliness! Get out of my way!" I shove her back and tried to get through the crowd. Suddenly, the girl grabs me back. "You did not just push me."

     "Really? But I just did." 🤔

     "You freaking whore!" She tries to slap me but I push her to the floor. The girl quickly got up and pulls onto my hair. "You freak!" I kick her in the stomach as hard as possible and as she falls, she lets go of my hair and possibly felt pain too.

     "Shay?!" Someone suddenly says. I turn around and see Hiro and Sho in front of me. "Bro—"

     "Why would you push down a—"

      "Mom's going to be mad if we don't go home early, hurry up!" I yell at Sho as he was about to help the girl up. "Whatever. Let's go then." He says crouching back up.

     "Who's that girl?" Girls started whispering.

     "Oh, I'm their sister!" ^_^ I smile at them to make them jealous and sure enough, they were. I glare at the girl who I pushed down and stick out my tough. 😜

     "Hurry up stupid." Hiro grabs my arm. "Okay, okay, I'm coming, let go." He lets go as I caught up to them. "Your hair's a mess." Sho says. "Omg! Gimme a brush! Gimme a brush! If mom sees this she'll totally get mad at me. Hurry up, gimme a brush or else she'll get all bugging." I yell at them and they sigh rolling their eyes.

     "By the way, you dating anyone?" Hiro asks as he hands me a brush. "I can't, mom says to not." I said fixing my hair. "You didn't answered the question, are you dating anyone?" Hiro asks again. "You can't lie, we made a promise to each other, we can lie to mom but not to each other." Sho smirks.

     "And you can't tell mom either." I pointed out. "Yeah I'm dating." I admitted. "Whoa, who?" They ask. "It's not Ayato right?" Sho asks.

     "It can't be Ayato." Hiro says. "It is Ayato." I said. "Whoa." They look at me surprised. "A girl like you got Ayato?" Hiro asked. "No way, you're not good enough."

     "Excuse me?! First of all, he was the one who admitted he liked me first." They look at each other unsure then turn to me and snicker. "Sure." they said sarcastically. "Oh my gosh, forget it." I turn away and walked faster as they follow me.

Sho's POV

When we got to the house, as it seems, mom came out and happily greeted us, we'll, me and Hiro that is. "Ooh, welcome, how was the trip you two? No one's hurt right?" She asked and helped us in then turns to Shay.

"Take their suitcases to where they'll be sleeping please, your room that is." She ordered. Wow, so the siblings will be sleeping in one room? It looked like Shay was about to protest but instead she just nodded. "No mom, it's okay, I'll take it." I offered. "No Sho, come with me. You too Hiro." Mom protested as she leads us in the living room.

Shay took the suitcases which seems to be heavy for her upstairs. It's too bad I couldn't help. After Shay chose to live with grandpa, mom has been mad rude to her, as if Shay wasn't even her personal daughter.

"Oh, my grandsons! You guys have grown!" Grandpa greeted us with a big hug. "Great to see you again grandpa." I smiled and Hiro does too. "So how's your studies been? Your mother says that you're in college already."

"Of course they are. Unlike that girl who has no future in life." Mom rolls her eyes as she sips from her tea and we could tell she was talking about Shay. "Yoona, why are you so rude? Your daughter is the student president for her school." Grandpa defends Shay.

"Being student president isn't that important anyways." Oh my gosh, why does she hate Shay so much? "Shay! Make dinner!" Mom orders as she saw Shay coming down from the stairs. "I'll help, I'm good at cooking." I said getting up. "Me too." Hiro gets up.

Mom was about to protest but we already went towards the kitchen to help Shay.

"Ugh, I wish I could just get out of this house, or at least, I wish she would." Shay whispers so that only me and Hiro could here. "Give her time." Hiro says.

"I've given her enough time already. It's been more than six years already. How would you feel being hated by your own mother? Wait I forgot, you can't cause your mom actually loves you. Make the rice." She orders me trying to avoid the conversation.

I've been with Shay since she was a baby so only she doesn't know the reason to why mom doesn't appreciate her. It was because after the divorce, Shay wanted to leave with dad and said that she hated mom. Mom will never forgive Shay for that. Shay of course doesn't remember anything about our father, all she knows is that he exists.

     That night, me and Hiro laid on the floor while she laid in her bed and we're getting ready to sleep.

     "Hey..." She started. "I've been meaning to ask grandpa this but since mom was here, I couldn't. And I've asked grandpa this before but that was when I was younger so he told me that he'll tell me when I'm ready." She continued.

     "It's about dad isn't it?" I guessed. "Our real dad."

     Shay goes quiet for some seconds. "Yeah..." She replied. "Who exactly was he?" She asked. "Who knows." Hiro wondered. "If we lived with grandpa, we would probably know the answer to that already but since we live with mom, there's no way."

     "Would any of you like to live here? I mean I'm not saying that I hate living alone with grandpa, it's just...you know." She said looking down to us. "I would." I answered. "Yeah me too." Hiro said. "But it's too bad. We got college back where we live and mom would be furious if we told her we wanted to stay here." I sighed.

     "At least she treats you better than she treats me. She expects me to be a lady, a proper lady. Like what the heck? Being a true lady mean being yourself, I can't just turn my life around and do things the way she wants. And why shouldn't I be able to date? That's seriously dumb." Shay sighs and I can see her tiredly mad face.

     "Just a little while longer I guess, if I can take it anymore..." She whispers.
