It was the kimono festival tonight and we all got ready for it. Grandpa didn't felt like going since he doesn't like crowds so I decided to go to Arisa's house to get ready. When I came, she clapped excitedly as she greets me and pulled me into her bedroom fast. "This'll be our first kimono festival with our boyfriends!" She kept saying. "Well, your boyfriend since Takuma can't make it." She frowns a bit.
I gave her a concern look. "He's still in Paris?" I asked and she nods sadly. But then quickly beams again. "Now hurry! We don't want Ayato to wait right?" She smiles, getting out her kimono. "We're meeting him at the kimono festival so we don't need to rush." I chuckle. "Come on! Put your kimono on!" She exclaims. "I feel like you're too excited about this. Okay, what's wrong?" I asked sitting on her bedside. Arisa sighs and stopped faking.
"It's just, I kinda miss him. No, I really miss him. And I can't call him since calling someone from across the world will cost lots of money. And...we kinda left off on bad terms." She tells me honestly. "What is it this time? A misunderstanding, you did something wrong, or did he do something wrong, or is it about the ice cream thing again?" I ask her. "No!" She yells laughing at the same time as she hits me with a pillow from where she was sitting, I chuckled back.
"Okay so basically, Takuma-kun told me that he was leaving for Paris and I denied, not believing him. I told him I was busy that day so I basically left without saying any goodbye at all. He texted me that next day around 11:30 in the morning, texted me goodbye and that we weren't going to see each other for a while and he also sent me a picture of him leaving for the airplane. I felt so bad. The last thing I told him was that I was busy. Ugh, now look what I've done." 😓
"Oh, that kind of bad terms. Well, I guess this time it was your fault." I shrugged. "Okay, you're not helping." She frowns. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry but I don't know what to say in this kind of situation. Look, when Takuma-kun comes back, just apologize to him, that should be the first thing you do when you see him. And I'm pretty sure he already forgives you. Takuma knows you, he'll forgive you." I assure her.
A few seconds later, Arisa gives me a relief smile. "That's exactly what's best to say. Thank you Shay." It looked as if tears were about to fall off of her cheeks so I scoff. "Come on, we don't want to make Ayato-kun waiting do we?" I tell her, helping her back up.
We start dressing ourselves up, helping each other with our obi and hair, well Arisa did the hair part, even for herself. "Wow, you're good at this. I think you should become a hairstylist instead of a pastry chef." I admired her. She smiles in return. "Really? You sure? You'll be fine on your own?"
After she sees me nod, Arisa start thinking for a moment. "Yeah, maybe I'll do that." Then smiles at me. "Done!" She beams. I gave a little touch to my hair. "Wow, it's pretty. Thanks Arisa."
She giggles then helps me get up. "Now come on, let's go." She tells me then we left for the festival.

When we got there, the festival looked so lively and awesome, just like last year and the year before. Arisa and I walked around the festival, looking for Ayato but also having fun on our own as well. We were laughing amongst ourselves a lot and forgot all about finding Ayato-kun. "Hey, there should be a fortune teller here. There always is." I gasp realizing about it. Arisa then gasp, remembering it as well.
We went around to look for the fortune's tent. When we found it, we quickly walked into the tent and took our seats. "Welcome dear Arisa and Shay." The fortune teller Haru greeted us. She knew our names because we always came here every year to get our fortunes told, ever since we were little kids. "Hi Haru!" Arisa greets. "Good evening." I smiled. Haru nodded. That was her way of greeting us.
